Facebook renamed to Meta
Facebook has just been renamed and the new name has a huge reference to games.
The biggest social platform in the world brings together several big brands including Instagram, Whatsapp and more.
Going forward, however, the company will operate under a new name with a greater vision.
On October 28, Facebook revealed that the new name is Meta.

Of course, this is a very popular pattern in the gaming world. Every game has its own meta which is ultimately the best or most efficient way to play.
After months of massive investment in Facebook's own gaming brand, acquiring many Twitch streamers through exclusive streaming deals, this is potentially another move by Mark Zuckerberg to capture the attention of gamers around the world. Alternatively, it could have been a coincidence.
Mark Zuckerberg on "vision of the future"
This was announced by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on October 28. “I know some people will say that now is not the time to focus on the future, and I want to acknowledge that there are important issues that need to be worked on in the present,” Zuckerberg said. “So for a lot of people, I'm just not sure there will ever be a good time to focus on the future. But I also know that many of you feel the same way that I do.”
“We live for what we build,” Zuckerberg added. “And while we make mistakes, we continue to learn, build and move forward.” He confirmed that messenger calls are also coming to VR.
It is understood that social media platform Facebook will retain its original name, and this change, like Google and Alphabet in the past, will affect the owner company as a whole.
