Phoenix Walkthrough Call of Duty Vanguard

NOTE . Unlike many previous Call of Duty games, there are no collectibles or intel in the Vanguard campaign. Just enjoy the game and "kill as many Nazis as possible".

Phoenix

After the intro cutscene ends, jump down and join the rest of the Vanguard on the train, then turn left. Use the button (default A / Cross) to get past the pipes and crates, then turn left and jump back to the train on the left to join your team.

Steal a train to Hamburg

Follow Kingsley to the door, then interact with it (X/Square by default) to loudly open it, or hold "aim" (LT/L2 by default) along with the "interact" button to slowly open the door without being seen .

Take the ammo from the crate, then go to the other end of the wagon and open the door. On the other hand, the enemy, but Polina will kill him.

Keep moving forward until you reach the next train car, then sprint jump (default L3 / click left analog stick) onto the train on the right.

Keep moving towards the front of the train, maneuvering and circling around piles of crates, and you'll find an enemy that hasn't seen you yet. Crouch (B/Circle by default) and sneak up behind an enemy, then use your melee attack (R3/right analog stick click by default) to kill him silently.

Once that's done, keep crouching and head to the next car and kill the next soldier without being spotted. Turn left and look at the left train to see two more soldiers, so use your silenced weapon to kill them.

Keep moving towards the front of the train and you will come to a dead end. Jump back to the train on the left side to meet Kingsley, who will tell you that the door leading forward is locked.

Move along the red and white lane to the left of the car, then open the sliding door of the car and go back inside.

Take cover behind the crate on the left and kill the two soldiers in front of you, then go outside and resupply from the crate on the left.

NOTE : If you want to switch to another weapon, there are two more powerful machine guns to the left of the ammo box (Volkssturmgewehr and STG44, which is one of our favorites).

Jump on the boxes next to the ammo box and hide, then take out the soldiers in the train car in front of you, who are behind cover and on the roof.

Turn right and you'll see Kingsley and an ammo box on the right side of the train, so jump over to join him and cross over to the right side.

Go through the small space and kill the soldiers behind the cover on the other side, then turn left and kill the remaining soldiers on the left train.

Once they are all dead, jump onto the pile of crates directly in front of you on the right train, and then use them to jump onto the roof of the left train car.

After jumping over, open the hatches on the roof of the car, and you can easily shoot at enemy troops. Kill them as you go, then turn right and look at the road behind the right train.

Shoot the drivers in each truck to crash them (and get the achievement "Watch out for the train”) and significantly reduce the amount of trouble they give you.

Once they've been eliminated, jump into the car on the right train, then open the car door in front of you. Kill the soldier taking cover on the other side, then look at the wall to your right.

There are a ton of weapons on offer here, but some of our favorites are the STG44 with 8mm round drums, the Kurz 45 (an excellent mid-range assault rifle), the KAR98K (an exceptional recon-type rifle that deals massive damage), and the Volkssturmgewehr (automatic weapon, close to average).

There's also a Type 11 with 6,5mm round Sakura 30 magazines. Grab a few, try them out, leave your favorites, then resupply the two boxes on the right and move on to the next wagon.

As soon as you enter, machine guns will shoot through the wall on the left, so hide behind the crates on the left and shoot back.

Enemies hide behind wooden panels that you can shoot through, so take advantage of this and take them out while they're hiding and reloading with a well-placed grenade or your automatic weapon.

More soldiers will jump off the top of the train car on the left, so shoot them while they're out in the open and moving towards the lower level. Once they're all dead, go to the front of the wagon and open the door and you'll find an open wagon filled with logs.

Another train will pull up on your right, so shoot the passengers as it passes you and Lucas will jump up to help you. As soon as he falls, climb onto the crates in front of you and turn left.

Two trucks will pass you on the left, between two trains. There is a soldier with a machine gun in the back of the truck closest to you, so kill him quickly.

Once they are dead, look out for the soldiers on top of the left train, as well as the soldiers in the second truck ahead of you.

After that is done, jump into the truck on your left and then use it to go to the train on your left. Go through the door on the right and Polina will kill another guard.

There is a PPSh-41 and an SVT-40 on the table on the left, so grab them if you need a weapon, or open the sliding door on the left and walk along the railing of the train again (you can also climb on the crates in front of you to get to the top of the train and try get another achievementYour ticket» for killing enemies while on the roof of the car).

Once you get to the next train car, go inside and you'll find a crate of grenades, so fill them up and Wade and Lucas will join you.

The machine gun soldier is on the other side of the crates, so throw a grenade the other way (LB/L1 by default) to kill him (or open the door on the left side and flank him).

Jump over the boxes and exit through the back door to go outside, where you will join the rest of the team and find an ammo box. Fill up the ammo, then climb up on the barrels in front of you to continue.

A car will drive up between the trains, so shoot the soldier in the back and then keep moving forward until you reach the end of the car, where you will find some cover.

Crouch behind him and the train's sliding doors on the right will open. Kill the two soldiers on the right train as well as the soldier ahead of you on the left train, then jump onto the right train using the truck.

Once you're on the right, you'll join Polina, so refill the ammo box, grab the Model 98 KAR98K trench magazine if you want a semi-automatic rifle, then turn left.
Walk along the right side of the train car using the railing, then open the sliding door and jump back inside.

Jump off the crates and turn left to see Wade fall, help him by killing the soldiers on the left train, then search the crates in the room. You will find a double-barreled shotgun and a Bren (Kingsley's favorite weapon).

This is an unusual weapon, so get a feel for it and take it with you if you like it. Bren has a large clip, inaccurate shooting, but he hits hard, and the double barrel is a powerful shotgun, one of two in the game (the other is semi-automatic, holding 5 projectiles at once). .

Climb up to the next car, then turn right and follow the narrow path to the next car. A truck will pull up nearby, so take the soldier out of the back and he'll leave you alone.

Once you're back on solid ground, keep moving forward. Jump on the crates, a sliding door on the left train will open and a truck will appear between you and it.

Kill the soldiers in the truck, then throw a grenade through the open sliding door on the left train and move forward.

Use the truck to jump onto the left train and kill any remaining soldiers inside the vehicle. Here you will find a table with a card game and an ammo box.

Climb onto the car in front of you and keep moving forward, taking cover behind large blocks of cargo as you will find yourself under machine gun fire.

Kingsley will notice the soldiers on the right side of the train, so stay in cover and help the rest of the team clear them out. While you're doing this, Richard will silence the machine gun so you can continue moving, so keep moving forward and then up the stairs on the left side.

When you get to the top, turn right and shoot the driver of the right-hand train.

Continue forward, then dash towards the train on the right side, where Kingsley and Wade are waiting through the open sliding door.

This will trigger a cinematic and take us to the second half of the mission.

Infiltrate the submarine base

After the cutscene ends, you will have a new target; infiltrate the base where the submarines dock and find out what the "Phoenix Project" is.

Get off the train and turn left. There is an ammo box on the right as well as an MG42 (Extended Mags) which is an exceptionally powerful machine gun great for taking out a ton of enemy troops (which we are going to do). The only downside is the long reload time, so keep a quick reload pistol as a second weapon if you decide to pick it up.

Take cover behind the cargo boxes and you will see two soldiers and a dog with them.

IMPORTANT : Dogs and soldiers attacking with bayonets will instantly kill you if they reach you, so take emergency situations into account when you play Call of Duty: Vanguard. If you hear or see a dog, or hear someone screaming and approaching, kill them immediately.

Kill the dog and soldiers while the train passes, then take their position and hide. Kill a few soldiers on the other side of the train tracks, then advance again and take cover near the ammo box on the other side of the raised platform.

NOTE : One of the soldiers will drop a KAR98K with a ZF4 3.5x scope, which is perfect for sniping enemies in this next section, although another sniper rifle will also become available a bit later.

More soldiers will come out of the base, so kill them all and then continue with your team while crossing the next set of train tracks. Climb to the other side and hide.

More dogs will come out of the base, so kill them as you get closer, then look out for the sniper on the platform above the base entrance.

Shortly after killing the sniper and a few other soldiers, the enemy will retreat and return to base. Kingsley will call the team to advance, so go to the entrance (but don't enter yet) and hide again.

The soldiers are inside, behind cover, so pull them out of your rifle or grenade and listen for the barking dogs. A group of two dogs will run out of the smoke so if you get too close to the entrance you will have very little time to react.

Once the path is clear, go inside and kill all the stragglers, then turn left and go up the stairs to the next room. Go around the pipes in the center of the room, then wait for Jackson to open the door to the office.

Head inside and approach the table next to the windows and inspect the papers on the right side (X/Square by default).

Capture Phoenix Data

Move to the far end of the room and help Kingsley move the table, then follow the squad through the door and down the stairs to the left.

Continue down the stairs to the lower level, then crouch and turn right when you reach the subway hangar.

Take the KAR98K (KF41 7.0 Telescopic) which will serve you well until the end of the level, then take cover behind the metal railing near the stairs.

Several soldiers will be hiding behind the cargo on the submarine, so kill them first or they will flank you. Then kill everyone who takes a position through the hangar, behind the submarine.

Once they're dead, it's safe to turn your attention to the soldiers coming down the stairs from you. Throw grenades to knock soldiers out of cover and use high ground to shoot at them when they are hiding.

Kill the first group, then go down the stairs and search the ammo box on the left, then take cover. More soldiers will line up on the upper platform on the far side, so take them out and then focus on clearing the remaining troops behind cover.

After they die, go to the far side and go up the stairs on the right, then turn left and go up the stairs to the top of the submarine.

Take cover and aim at the MG42 soldier and then at the remaining soldiers. Move forward and turn right, following Kingsley across the platform, then grab some extra ammo from the crate on the left, which also contains an MP-40.

Turn the corner to the left, then run to the left side of the path and kill the two soldiers guarding the path.

Follow the path that leads to the other side of the base, then follow Kingsley and Richard across the bridge to the second submarine, which is already in the water.

Open the hatch, then jump down the ladder and shoot the fleeing soldier, then throw a grenade into the hall to take out the last two soldiers.

Open the door at the end of the hall, then kill the three soldiers inside and continue, and Kingsley will take over, throwing a grenade down the next hatch. Once it explodes, crouch down and kill the soldier inside, then follow Kingsley.

Approach the chest at the end of the room and examine it to trigger a cinematic and end the mission.
