If you want to score goals brilliantly in moments of scrum, skills are for you! Here is our guide to all the moves and feints in FIFA 21.
How to do feints and apply tricks?
First, not all players can perform moves, as some require you to have a certain star rating in order to use them. Don't expect a 3 star player to do a 5 star feint. It just won't happen! You can check what star rating a player has by going to the individual player information. Defenders will also have lower star ratings, and of course midfielders and forwards will have higher star ratings.
In this guide, we'll be covering the PlayStation controller-based tricks, but for convenience, we've provided the Xbox button mapping table below:
- PlayStation=Xbox
- R1=RB
- R2=RT
- L1=LB
- L2-LT
- X = A
- Square = X
- Triangle = Y
- Circle=B
- Right / Left = Either left or right
- RS = right joystick
List of skill moves
Skills 1 Star
These are tricks that any member of your team can perform. Even if Vasya had entered the field from the crowd, he would still be able to make these moves!
- ➤Bridge - press R1 twice
- ➤Directional Nutmeg - hold L1 + R1 + RS direction
- flick up - hold L1 and press R3
- Open Up Fake Shot - hold L1 + tap square then tap X and move LS top left/right

Skills 2 Stars
It is sporadically possible to find a player in FIFA who cannot perform 2 star moves. This is very important for the 1% of all players in the game.
- ➤Roll ball right/left - hold RS right/left
- ➤Body feint right / left - flick RS right / left
- ➤Roll back - L1 + R1 + LS swipe down
- ➤Feint forward and turn - scroll down RS twice
- ➤Reverse step right/left — turn RS front right/left
- ➤Step right/left - rotate RS front right/left
Skills 3 Stars
Now we begin to understand the tricks of worthy players. However, from now on, it is unlikely that your defenders will be able to convert these moves. Certainly not a goalkeeper!
- ➤Hell Flick - scroll RS up then down
- ➤Fake Left & Go Right - rotate RS from bottom left to right
- ➤Fake Right & Go Left - Scroll RS from bottom right to left
- ➤Heel Chop Right/Left - hold L2 and square then X + LS hold right/left
- ➤Roulette left - rotate RS counterclockwise from bottom to left.
- ➤Roulette right - rotate RS clockwise from bottom to right
Skills 4 Stars
There are many ways to master 4 stars! But this is where your skill comes into play, and your movements begin to look like a majestic dance.
- ➤Ball Hop (standing) - hold L1 and press L3
- ➤Ball Roll Cut Right - hold RS left and LS right
- ➤Ball Roll Cut Left - hold RS to the right and LS to the left
- ➤Drag Back Spin Right/Left - flick RS down then right/left
- ➤Drag To Heel - hold L1 and swipe RS down then swipe right/left
- ➤Fake pass (while standing) - hold R2, square then X
- ➤False pass Exit right / left (while standing) - hold R2 and square then X and LS top right/left
- ➤Heel To Heel Flick - swipe RS up then down
- ➤Change of driving direction right / left - hold R1 and RS right/left
- ➤Quick Ball Rolls - hold RS
- ➤Simple rainbow - flick RS down then up twice
- ➤Rotation to the left - hold R1 and rotate RS counterclockwise from bottom to left.
- ➤Right rotation - hold R1 and rotate RS clockwise from bottom to right.
- ➤Stop and turn right/left (while running) - flick RS up then right/left
- ➤Three touch roulette right/left - hold L2 and flick RS down then right/left
Skills 5 Stars
Only top level players can perform these actions; no one else can achieve these epic moves. Do not worry; there is a lot to learn!
- ➤Advanced Rainbow - swipe RS down, hold, then swipe down again
- ➤Ball Roll Fake Right/Left (while standing) - hold RS right/left then swipe right/left
- ➤Ball Roll Fake Turn - hold L2 and swipe RS up then swipe left/right
- ➤Roll the ball and move right/left (when running) - hold RS right/left then swipe up
- ➤Elastico — Roll RS from bottom right to left.
- ➤Elastico Chop Left - Hold R1 and roll RS down from right to left.
- ➤Elastico Chop Right - hold R1 and roll RS down from left to right
- ➤Flick Over - hold R1 and hold RS up
- ➤Heel Flick Turn - hold R1 and flick RS up then down
- ➤Hocus pocus - turn the RS down to the left, then back to the right
- ➤Rabona Fake (while running) - hold L2 and swipe RS up then swipe right/left
- ➤Reverse Elastico — rolls RS on the bottom from left to right.
- ➤Sombrero Flick (standing) - Flick RS up, up, down
- ➤Spin Flick Right/Left - hold R1 and scroll RS from bottom left to right
- ➤Triple Elastico — roll over RS down to the right, then back to the left.
- ➤Tornado Rotate right/left - hold L1 and swipe RS up then swipe right/left
- ➤Rotate and rotate right/left - flick RS up then right/left
5 Star Feints
On the pitch, 5 star players can juggle the ball, which means they can do those special moves in the air!
- ➤Around the world - rotate RS 360 degrees clockwise/counterclockwise
- ➤Chest Flick - hold L2 and press R2 twice
- F➤lick Up For Volley - Hold LS up
- ➤In Air Elastico - swipe RS to the right, then to the left.
- ➤Flick Up Laces - L2 and hold R1
- ➤Reverse In Air Elastico - swipe RS left then right
- ➤Sombrero Flick Backwards / Right / Left - Hold LS down/right/left
- ➤T. Around The World - rotate RS clockwise 360 degrees, then scroll up
