According to reputable FUT information provider Sheriff, the FUT Captains promo is expected to start at Friday, April 8, 2022

FIFA 22 FUT Captains - Event Concept

FIFA Source TrustyFutTrader Reveals Concept Rumors on twitter, maintained later by FutSheriff. Since the title is being given out, the FUT Captains event will presumably focus on Hero players who have been the captain of their club or country.

According to the leak, FUT Heroes who were given the armband during their in-game days will receive hugely upgraded cards. These cards are said to be brand new and will replace the originals in packs during the event.

They are similar to the Icon Moments that recently appeared in FIFA 22, boosting player ratings and in-game stats to make them more in line with the FUT power curve.

The current leaders will also get huge upgrades in the form of a promo team coming in packs. Expect to see massive stat boosts that some serious meta cards produce.
