Fortnite adds tornadoes, and they are already better than in Battlefield 2042
Fortnite's latest update throws players into the raging tornadoes and chilling storms that wipe out Battlefield 2042's nose.
Between web-slinging, dimensional rifts, and turning an entire island upside down, Fortnite's creativity isn't about to slow down. Chapter 3 is still in season 1, but it's pretty clear Epic Games has a lot of tricks up its sleeve as the brilliant update beats Battlefield 2042 in every way.
Tornadoes and storms are here, and you can dive right into them.

Fortnite update adds tornadoes and storms
The official Fortnite twitter account has unveiled the latest update, in the form of a new weather mechanic. “If you see a tornado starting to form, this is not a runaway signal,” Epic Games says in a new update.
Players will not be hit by tornadoes due to fall damage, but can instead use them as efficient means of movement. Dark Storms will bring lightning into the game, offering players the chance to gain a temporary speed boost if they are under the effect.
However, your chances of being struck by lightning again will be greatly reduced: "Lightning doesn't strike the same place twice - once you're struck, lightning won't strike you again right after."
The introduction of these weather elements is trolling Battlefield 2042 as EA DICE has pushed a promising mechanic to the forefront of 2042 marketing. Unfortunately, Battlefield 2042 didn't get off to a good start and continues to slide down.
Battlefield 2042 promised players incredible feats in challenging weather ahead of its release, but its troubled launch meant players could end up enjoying it in Fortnite.
