Fortnite Chapter 2 - All Weapon Balance Change
Chapter 2 started almost a month ago, but Epic Games is ignoring the release of patch notes like it did before. One gamer took matters into his own hands and posted every weapon balance change in a major update.
Tuesday, October 15th marked one of the biggest days in Fortnite history as the game moved into Chapter 2, which introduced a brand new map and many changes to the popular Battle Royale title.
One thing that was missing was patch notes detailing these changes, and while there have been many updates since then, Epic Games has yet to release the final changelog for fans to explore.
Reddit user Tornorr took matters into his own hands by testing the game and its weapons to create his own list of balancing changes in the absence of an official word from Epic Games.
The Pistol appears to have received a 4% damage increase in all three rarities, while the Pump Shotgun's damage has been reduced to 16% in the Uncommon variant. The clip size of the Compact SMG has been reduced by 25%, but the weapon now reloads 42% faster.
Rocket launchers have also seen some changes, with the rare version damage reduced by 9% while epic rarity has been reduced by 1%. Epic is now an even more dangerous weapon, with an 8% damage buff and a 23% reduction in reload speed. You can view the full statistics below.
While Tornorr has compiled these statistics, they may not be 100% accurate, and unless Epic finally releases some patches, we will never know the exact changes the developers have made to the weapons.
The company behind the game has yet to explain the reason why they are no longer releasing patch notes, but fans remain hopeful that this decision will be reversed as Chapter 2 Season 1 continues.
