Fortnite: How to Open Vaults - All Keys and Bosses

In this guide, we will look at how to open vaults in Fortnite Season 2! This is a new addition to the game in Chapter XNUMX: to upgrade the Battle Pass. You might want to give it a try, because some pretty nice loot is waiting for you behind those big doors.
HOW TO UNLOCK Vaults
You will find vaults in five different locations scattered throughout the map. These are all new locations that were kind of themed around the character who occupies them.
Each of these locations has a Boss NPC. You know them by sight because they are representatives of your battle pass. There are only five of them: Dina Mitta, Meowscle, Dreaming, Midas and Big Guy, all of them must be fought. It's important to take note of this, because in order to get into the vault, you need to kill one of these bosses in a specific location! It is also important to know that these bosses do NOT appear in Team Rumble. So, if you want to access the vault, you'll have to play normally.
So, go to one of those places and find one of the bosses. First you need to find loot because there are spies, turrets and a boss that will attack you if you spot them. Go around the area and find the boss. They will have around 100 Shield and XP, but the amount of health and defense increases if you play in duos or squads. Kill them and they'll drop both the keycard and one of the following mythic items!
The Dream can drop two different Mythic items, so it's a very good target. One of them is Grappler which has unlimited usage and can be used very fast! Here you can find each boss:
- Big man : Grotto
- Meowscull : yacht
- Dream : Shark
- Midas : Agency
- Dina Mitta : horn
You will now need to have this keycard in your inventory. You can select it and it will show you the direction of the vault. Walk towards it and then you can unlock it through the terminal nearby. There are a bunch of big chests here, and you'll probably be stocked for the rest of the match if you manage to survive the NPCs and other players to loot the vault!
Can't find the boss?
Bosses will spawn randomly in this area, so you won't find them in the same place every time. If you are desperate to find them, you can shoot down one of the spies and kill him. When you do this, you will see icons around you. Look for the red crown icon that indicates the location of the boss!
Can't survive?
If you are struggling to survive landing in these areas, then try landing outside the area and arm yourself. This will allow the hype to calm down a bit and hopefully other players will eliminate themselves or take damage from each other! You can also go into a phone booth and disguise yourself so that the NPCs don't attack you as soon as they see you.
