Fortnite: How to Cancel Taco Time in Greasy Diner?

One Fortnite fan has found a way to bypass the Taco Time dance that takes place in the Greasy Diner area, and it could give players a huge advantage.

After months of waiting, many Fortnite fans finally got what they wanted as the Snack Bar appeared in update V10.30 as an entirely new fault zone. However, the location has huge changes from what it once was.

The burger shop is long gone, replaced by a taco shop. This shop gave players a Taco Time - where every 40 seconds or so, everyone in the Greasy Diner dances and can't build or fire their weapons. However, there is a way around this.

In a post to the FortniteBR subreddit, the user ThatOne Wooper noted that players can bypass Taco time by using the launch pad and building themselves into a single box.

Of course, it will take quite a bit of luck to find the launch pad, but if one does, they can jump onto the placed item right before the Taco time starts, and once they crash into the roof of the box, it will cancel the normal dance period.

Redditor expanded on his find by explaining that while you can't run and shoot since everyone else is stuck dancing, you can build and set traps in peace.

“I heard from someone that you cannot shoot other players while they are dancing, however in this mode you can build, but they cannot,” said the gamer. “So all you have to do is build a box around them and set a trap or something. They won't be able to build a defense or break the box to get out.”

Epic Games probably didn't plan this Taco time workaround to be in the game, but since they haven't resolved the issue yet, it remains to be seen if they are aware of it.

It probably won't take too long for them to implement the fix, so anyone using this launch pad method will have time to enjoy this find.
