Epic Games has moved away from weekly Fortnite Battle Royale patches to a once-a-month game update. We haven't had a lot of content since the release of Chapter 2 Season 1, but hopefully that will change when the new chapter comes out next month.
The last major Fortnite update released by Epic Games was update v11.30released over a month ago. The update included many leaks, including skins and other cosmetic leaks, as well as mission challenges and loading screens. Event Winter Festival was also published in the v11.30 update, in which the developers talked about the problems that the current system presented by Epic faced.
Shortly before the start of Winterfest, Epic released update v11.31, a small patch that only included some files for the holiday event Winter festival along with four encrypted files that turned out to be Christmas-themed skins. It's been over a month since the last update, and here's what it brought.
Fortnite 11.40 Update Official Information
- ➤Meet a new modification: the heavy assault rifle is back in the game.
- In non-competitive modes, you can use the Upgrade Machines to modify the Assault Rifle and turn it into a Heavy Assault Rifle.
- Enhancement vehicles now require fewer materials to upgrade weapons with Enhancement Machines.
- ➤New items have appeared in the battle lab:
- Breter Pistol (Common and Uncommon)
- impact grenade
- pulse grenade
- ➤The iPad Pro (2018) version now supports 120 fps.
- ➤On controllers that are supported by iOS, the functions of pressing the mini-sticks (L3 and R3 buttons) became available.
Corrected mistakes:
- The achievements of the Star Wars event have returned to the list of achievements displayed in the feed.
- Fixed a bug due to which the "F" key, after it was set to the direction of movement, did not work properly.
- Fixed a bug due to which players remained in edit mode after quick editing.
- Bolt-action sniper rifle scope no longer disappears after falling into a hideout.
- Fixed an issue where the Anesthesia/Intoxication Challenge, which required visiting multiple bus stops in a single match, was not counting some stops.
- The Spectral Air Trail changes color again as it moves.
- ➤We continue to make improvements regarding image fading and performance loss on mobile devices.
- Fixed an issue that resulted in mobile users being stuck in an endless loop on the fire mode selection screen.
- Fixed an issue that prevented console players from giving gifts if they did not have two-factor authentication enabled.
