Fortnite Provides Free V-Bucks to iOS and Mac Users Affected by Apple's Ban

After Fortnite was banned on iOS and Mac devices a few months ago due to a dispute with Apple, Epic Games has announced the start of providing free bonus V-bucks to users who purchase some of the currency on these platforms.
Back in August 2020, there was a huge dispute between Apple and Epic Games over whether the latter could sell V-bucks in Fortnite without giving away a share of the funds to the tech giant. Disagreements led to the fact that the game was removed from iOS and Mac devices and there was no end in sight to the ban.
Since then, Fortnite hasn't been supported on platforms, not even getting the game's Season 4, which should now end in just a few short weeks. Epic Games is now giving players on this platform free V-Bucks to make up for months without updates.
Because Mac & iOS are blocked for Fortnite updates, we're beginning to grant a V-Bucks bonus for players on these platforms -- to spend on any platform. The V-Bucks grant is expected to be completed by November 9th.

According to the Fortnite Status Twitter account, Epic is starting to send out bonus V-bucks to iOS and Mac players. Getting V-bucks depends on certain criteria, including the platform you played on.
iOS players will see V-Bucks added to their account based on the current number of unspent V-Bucks that were originally purchased through the App Store.
On the other hand, if you played on a Mac, you will receive a bonus equal to the amount of unspent V-Bucks you purchased through Epic on that platform.
The best part is that since all your accounts are linked, V-Bucks can be used on any platform you see fit. Therefore, if you are currently playing on PS4 or Xbox and have purchased V-Bucks on Apple platforms, you should soon see the money in your account.
Epic says it has begun rolling out these bonuses and that everyone should see them in their account by November 9, 2020.
Overall, it's nice that Epic is finally giving Apple users additional rewards after Fortnite was removed from the platform. We hope the game will re-added in the near future although it doesn't seem like it will be that soon.
