Fortnite Will Copy Popular Minecraft Feature In Season 5
The Fortnite NPCs introduced in Season 5 were the bomb, and they could be even better after we got a hint of upcoming NPC features like those available from Villagers in Minecraft.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 introduced a ton of new content, from new skins and map changes to various crossovers. However, the addition of NPCs was one of the most impressive changes.
Currently, NPCs are tied to a complex quest system where players can earn gold bars and trade them in to unlock weapons and upgrades. They can even use them to recruit NPCs to become their bodyguards.
It's not a perfect system and needs some work on it, but it looks like Epic Games is already working on it. There are still many tweaks and changes ahead.
According to a popular insider, they will be adding some extra NPC services similar to those available to villagers in Minecraft.
HypeX, known for spreading many leaks and rumors over the years, took the hint on Twitter. He mentioned two new features; NPCs will be able to buy loot from players and they will be able to summon supply drops for 600 gold.
This is similar to how players can sell their items to villagers in Minecraft and receive emeralds in return.
The idea of selling unwanted items like legendary pistols in exchange for gold bars is fantastic. This means that Fortnite players have more ways to raise their funds and even get into the habit of hunting and selling rare items.
The ability to summon supply crates also comes in handy, especially in dire situations. 600 gold bars is a pretty high price, but loot can get you out of a tight spot. Plus, if you can sell the items, you'll get them back in no time.
Unfortunately, there is no conclusive evidence that these features are coming anytime soon. However, HypeX almost always has his finger on the pulse, and if he says it can happen, then it definitely can.
