Fortnite V12.30 - Update Description
We have put together an unofficial set notes к Fortnite patch 12.30 ! Epic decided at some point to stop publishing the full set of details on what changed in the patch, so we're putting together a list of all the things that changed in the latest update. We have information about bug fixes, changes, and will be posting anything else that has been added to the game. We will add official patch notes if they are published.
DATE AND TIME OF UPDATE RELEASE
The Fortnite 12.30 update has NOT been officially announced, but we expect it to go live on March 31 or April 1, 2020! You can expect a couple of hours of downtime after adding it to the game.
UNOFFICIAL 12.30 PATCH NOTES
Here we will detail all the things that have been added to the game but not covered by Epic. If you're looking for a cosmetic leak, we'll take a look at it in detail separately.
Trials of the Dream
Expect a set of challenges that revolve around the Dream skin, will be released this week!
CRASH PAD FORTNITE
Crash Pad is a brand new Fortnite item added in today's update. The new Crash Pad Fortnite item is essentially a mobile trampoline that has a rare (blue) rarity. Players can drop an emergency pad on the ground to summon it.
After that, you will be able to jump on it, and the more you jump on it, the higher the level of the crash pad will launch you into the air. If you fall to the ground after jumping off the pad, you won't take any fall damage.
Players will now be able to create skyscrapers without fear if they have a crash panel on them. The crash pad can be instantly deployed when dropped, preventing fall damage from any height.
NEW KINGSMAN FORTNITE UMBRELLA
There's a new Fortnite umbrella in today's v12.30 update, but it's no ordinary cosmetic umbrella we're all used to.
According to the leaders, there are three different variants/rarities; rare, epic and legendary. Fortnite's new umbrella, the Kingsman, is a weapon that deals 50 damage when it hits an enemy closest to you.
You can also use the Kingsman Umbrella to block bullets and allow users to slow their descent when falling from a height, but does not completely prevent fall damage. The new Kingsman Fortnite umbrella will break if dropped from a great height.
Players can also load the umbrella and push forward, and can also deploy the glider with a small air jump.
To block the bullets, open the Kingsman in the direction you are receiving the shot from. Using this, you can smash buildings and loot, and perform small jump animations. This weapon is essentially a light saber, but is not often found.

FORTNITE 12.30 PATCH BUG FIXES
Here are the expected fixes for the 12.30 patch. They were taken from Trello and map all the stuff Epic is working on in terms of errors.
General questions
- Results in tournaments on the "Compete" tab will be visually incorrect in the Lobby and in the match.
Battle Royale issues
- While in Spy Game Mode, players may get stuck on the "Technology Selection" screen.
- Player style selections for certain Locker items may not be saved.
- The Harpoon Cannon cannot successfully loot on a consistent basis.
- Players may not be able to pick up items using Auto Pick Up.
- Deadpool's plunger from his Week 3 is not visible.
creative questions
- When copying billboards, settings are not saved from the copied billboard.
- Players on mobile will not be able to interact with the quick menu using pre-assigned buttons.
Save the trouble world
- Defender exceptions no longer count towards the player's quest score. Defenders should work with the players, not against them. We are working on a fix.
- High levels of Love Lobbers will appear. Anecdotal reports indicate 4-8 Lobbers at a time in some cases. We are working on bringing these numbers down a bit.
- Love Lobbers deal more damage than intended to structures built by the player. In the new update, Love Lobber will no longer damage player structures.
Mobile Issues
- Shadows are rendered with high contrast and most textures are rendered black.
- We are currently investigating an issue on a Note 10+ device that displays a black bar on the left side of the screen.
