FNCS, also known as Fortnite The Championship Series is the largest tournament organized by the seasonally popular game Epic Games. There are big changes coming to the tournament format in Chapter 4 Season 2 and it will be interesting to see how players adapt to them.
Fortnite is played by millions of casual players around the world, but there's no denying that its competitive side can also be exciting. Talented professionals like TaySon and Anas have over a million in earnings, which is impressive to say the least.
Chapter 4 Season 2 Will Allow More Players to Participate in the FNCS
Epic Games has made a few changes with the release of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. Much of the island is now a fresh biome as a whole, and the new season is similar to Season 9, which was quickly developed with a futuristic theme.
Therefore, it is not surprising that several changes have also been made to the competitive system. FNCS will no longer rely on the Divisional Cup system as announced by Epic Games on their blog.
"FNCS Major 2 will not use the Divisional Cup system to allow more players to compete in the FNCS."
Basically, players only need to get to the Champions League to be able to participate in the prestigious tournament. They must place up to the eighth division in the Arena mode, as it was before. Epic Games has announced that the divisional system may return in the future, but it will have a new and improved format.
Gameplay and cinematic trailers released earlier today also revealed new mechanics, weapons, and a fresh Battle Pass.
