Fortnite Update 6.10: Quadroller and Tournaments

quad breaker

Epic Games has released a patch for the Fortnite 6.10 update, which is now live on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. The main new addition to Fortnite Battle Royale is quadrolome, a two-seat wall-mounted vehicle based on an ATV.

This new vehicle is perfect for destroying structures, so will no doubt be the key to securing victory in battle. In addition, it is ideal for jumping over obstacles, using them as a springboard.

The patch also offers a lot of customization for the game. For PlayStation 4 Pro owners, Fortnite will now display in 1440p instead of 1080p when connected to a 4K TV. The update also adds a new Events tab where players can find in-game tournaments.

In the weapons and items section, Port-a-Fortress has been disabled, and in the meantime, Epic is investigating an issue with it. To compensate, Port-a-Fort will drop more often. The guided missile (which was recently disabled), meanwhile, no longer fires in the wrong direction, which is nice.

Disco Domination, the recently launched limited mode, has also changed.

For those who want to look at quadrolome we have prepared a video for you. You can also see information about all the changes covered by the patch below.

BATTLE ROYAL

TIME MODE "TOTAL DANCE FLOOR"

Review
It's time to find out who dances the best! Dance floors appeared on the island of the Royal Battle. Capture them! Displace enemies from them and dance to raise disco balls above the grounds. The team that captures and defends the dance floors and fills up their dance gauge the fastest wins!

What's new?

  • Drop chance of any bandages reduced by 50%.
  • All regular weapons have been removed.
  • Increased the amount of territory on the player's team half circle where your ally can spawn by 30%.
  • The dance floors at the edges are now closer to the Tempest circle.
  • Maximum respawn distance reduced by 20%.

WEAPONS AND ITEMS

  • We've temporarily removed the Pocket Fortress from the game to address some issues.
    • Pocket Fort spawn rate increased from 3,05% to 4,89% while no Pocket Fort is present.
      • This was done in order to keep the pocket fort's spawn rate the same as if both items were present in the game, and to make it easier to complete challenges.

  • Players no longer get stuck to a Supply Drop after shooting it with a suction cup.
  • The animation will no longer be interrupted when attempting to shoot while reloading the Double Barrel.
  • The weapon swap animation is no longer skipped when the player aims and sprints at the same time.

GAME PROCESS

  • quadrolome

  • A parameter has been added that allows you to change the time the button is held to switch to edit mode.
  • Emote selection menu now opens when the player releases the gamepad button. By holding down the button, you can replay the last emotion.

Corrected mistakes

  • Fixed inconsistencies that caused the damaging trap to not work properly.
  • Players can now move slightly when using a consumable item while Default Sprint is enabled. Now this behavior is similar to the disabled "Sprint by default" option.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the view was fixed in one direction when the character fell off the island in a vehicle.

EVENTS

  • Added a new "Events" tab, which lists online tournaments available right in the game and open to everyone. Come and join us!
    • Each tournament consists of a series of regular matches that take place on certain days and hours. Players will be able to see the schedule of all upcoming competitions in order to select the ones they need and prepare for them.
    • Participants of each regular match start the game in completely equal conditions.
    • Play for hours and earn points for killing multiple opponents or just fighting for survival.
    • The system selects players with approximately the same number of points for the match.
    • Earn enough points in any regular event and get a gold badge for it!

BATTLE THE STORM

MISSIONS AND MECHANICS

  • Power Level Limits
    • The minimum power level for accessing missions is taken into account depending on the access settings of your group.
      • If you have chosen the access type "For all", the game will determine the availability of missions by the lowest level of power among the players in your group (without taking into account the group amplifier).
      • If you set the access type to "Closed" or "Friends", then the game will only consider the power level of the group leader.
    • Low-level players will no longer be able to participate in open high-level missions where they are of little use to the team, but at the same time they will still be able to play alone or with friends in high-level regions.
    • All missions in Plankerton now have a minimum personal power requirement.
    • All Storm Shield Defense missions in Plankerton and beyond now have a minimum Personal Power requirement.

  • Changed the balance of points awarded for missions, depending on the average duration and complexity of mission types.
    • This made it harder to get the coolest rewards at the end of the mission in some types of missions, especially if players did not complete bonus tasks.
    • To compensate for the inconvenience, we have increased the number of rewards given out for each point earned. Basically, we've increased the rewards for most mission types.
Corrected mistakes
  • The "Portraits of a Dear Person" quest now uses the correct zone difficulty.
  • Models that should be invisible no longer appear in the game.
  • Overtime missions now sometimes have an electrical modifier.
  • Fixed a bug that limited the amount of rewards for certain types of missions.
    • Due to this bug, many optional tasks increased the displayed level of the reward that appeared at the end of the mission, but in fact the players received less.

PERFORMANCE

  • The first attempt to select a defender for the defender's court no longer triggers jerks.
Corrected mistakes
  • Fixed a crash that occurred due to projectiles fired when loading a zone.
  • Fixed a bug in the particle system that was causing a crash on Xbox.

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in players getting stuck when Rush hit a Brute or Suppressor.

WEAPONS AND ITEMS

  • Added protection against the reappearance of the mythical leaders of the survivors.
    • By breaking the llama, you can get a mythical leader of the survivors, who will be selected randomly, with the exception of those who are already in your inventory and collection book.
    • If you have all the mythic survivor leaders, the system will randomly select any of them.
    • Note that when you are prompted to choose one of the two mythic leaders, the result is limited to that particular leader type. This can result in a duplicate if you already have all the mythic leaders of the selected types.
  • Player jump pads no longer take up space in the arsenal.
Corrected mistakes

    • Super SAW;
    • "Lynx";

GAME PROCESS

  • We've added a new mission type: Mini Storms!
    • Mini-Storms is our testing ground for new ideas. They will help us to get your opinion on new game materials and ideas.
    • Mini Storms are urgent missions available for a short time. They appear for only one or two weeks and then disappear.
    • This week, we've added a Data Gathering mission and a quest line with progressively higher rewards for taking part in the fight against the Mini Storm.
      • In the remastered Data Gathering mission, you'll have to act very quickly as the Tempest approaches the weather balloon's landing site. You will take damage while in the Storm, which means you will have to fight in a tighter space during data protection. The mission lasts 20 minutes. The only way to get all possible rewards is to shoot down the weather balloon at the first opportunity.
      • The mission "Data Collection: Mini Storm" will disappear with the release of Update 6.20. Hurry up to participate!
Corrected mistakes
  • Player models no longer remain in play when they leave a mission critically injured.

  • Fixed a bug due to which the tactical and auxiliary properties of the hero for the squad were distributed to the defenders.

INTERFACE

Corrected mistakes
  • Restored missing button labels for some controller configurations in the Storm Shield Defense Mission XNUMX tutorial.
  • The Collection Book context menu no longer closes prematurely on consoles.
