Assassin Guide (Traps) in Diablo 2: Resurrected - Best Builds (Build)

Want to know about the best Assassin build in Diablo 2 Resurrected? The Assassin first appeared in the Lord of Destruction RPG along with the Druid. While the Assassin has some great builds to offer to those who choose this class, we chose the iconic Trap build.

The Trap Assassin build specializes in creating deadly traps for demons in Sanctuary. With the right equipment and skills, an Assassin can become a true jack-of-all-trades.

Compared to the other classes in Diablo 2 Resurrected, the Stalker Assassin excels in almost every key area - she can tank hits, deal with hordes of enemies with ease, and she's fairly easy to play once you've mastered her abilities. Place lightning traps around the battlefield and set enemies on fire using fire to clear any screen filled with enemies.

Like all of our Diablo 2 builds, an Assassin build can go from normal to hell pretty quickly. Whether you're going solo in RPG or you're going to fight demons with a group of friends, Assassin is perfect as she can really do it all. Here's everything you need to create the ultimate Diablo 2 Resurrected Assassin build.

Traps features:

  • You will not be able to place more than 5 traps (along with the shadow (Shadow Master\Shadow Warrior) you will also not be able to place more than 5 traps).
  • Traps are extremely effective on normal and nightmare difficulties, but on Hell difficulty they lose their effectiveness due to the abundance of monsters that are immune to fire / lightning. However, Death sentry comes to the rescue, exploding corpses - it is indispensable when playing on Hell difficulty.
  • Some items have the ability to reduce enemy's lower resist and / or increase damage from a certain element, but this property will not work with most traps. This is due to the fact that traps are actually conscripts (like golems) and the damage is not done by the character, but by them.
  • Blade Sentinel, Blade Fury, Blade Shield: All 3 skills receive an additional 50% penalty when using two-handed weapons. For example, if you take a thunder maul (a kind of hammer with high damage), then Blade Fury will deal only 3/8 of normal damage (when wearing a “normal” weapon for an assassin, 3/4 damage will be dealt), Blade Sentinel will deal 3 \16 damage instead of 3/8, and Blade Shield - 1/8 damage instead of 1/4 damage.
  • Traps work like golems or conscripts. This means that they will not receive bonuses from items with +% lightning/fire damage or -% lightning/fire damage.

Important stats

When played correctly, the assassin trap does not need to be near enemies to destroy them. fire explosion - one of the best assassin skills that allows you to throw a small but powerful bomb at enemies. This skill costs very little mana and can deal a lot of damage quickly. Explosion of speed increases your attack and movement speed - this also applies to the time it takes to set the trap.

As for Assassin's traps, fire awakening , Sentinel death , hell awakening и sentinel lightning give you enough firepower to cripple Diablo's minions. You can avoid trouble by using fire traps for most of the game, but once you complete Act 4 on difficulty Nightmare, most minions will gain fire resistance. From now on, your overall game plan involves discarding four lightning bolts and using sentinel of death to explode nearby corpses.

If things get a little risky, Assassin can temporarily stun a group of monsters with Mind blow . This ability stops enemies, giving you enough time to use potions and prepare for battle.

So what do we download from Assassin?

When it comes to the distribution of stat points in Diablo 2: Resurrected, the Assassin is no different from other classes. You need exactly enough strength and agility points, usually around 27 points in front of all the buffs you get from your gear, to wield the best armor and weapons. In addition, all other points must go directly to viability. Don't invest points in energy as you can quickly regenerate mana with potions.
Here are all the skills you need to level up your build"Trap«:

fire explosion - 20.
Sentinel death - 20.
sentinel lightning - 20.
fire awakening - 20.
hell awakening - 20.
Mind blow - 3.
Explosion of speed - 1.
Mastery of the claws - 1.
Cloak of Shadows - 1.
Sentry electric arrows - 1.
mental hammer - 1.
Lightning network - 1.
Block with weapons - 1.

Equipment for the assembly "Trap"

  • Weapon - Oak Heart (chain)
  • Shield – spirit (Monarch)
  • Helmet - Harlequin Coat of Arms (Shaco)
  • Armor - A magic plate equipped with the runic word Enigma (runes Jah, If and Ber)
  • Belt - Arachnid Mesh (Web sash)
  • Rings - Stone of Jordan and Wedding Ring of Bul-Kathos
  • Amulet - Mary's kaleidoscope
  • Mittens — Magefist (Light gauntlets)
  • Footwear - Sandstorm Trek (boots made of scarab shell)
  • Amulets - Hellfire Torch (large amulet) , Annihilus (little amulet ) and Spectacular Greater Ward of Life (big amulet ).

This equipment gives the Assassin an additional boost in strength, health, and includes additional skills. While best Diablo 2 Resurrected Necromancer build used equipment to raise the dead faster, the frequency of applying buffs does not affect Assassin's traps. Instead, increased attack speed from Explosion speed provides enough buff that we can ignore this particular setting.

Mercenary

You can find the best mercenary for the Assassin in the second act - choose a defending mercenary with an aura Holy Freeze. This aura is perfect as it drastically slows down enemies, giving them enough time to take damage from all of our traps.

  • Weapon - Infinity (thresher)
  • Armor - Betrayal (Boneweave)
  • Helmet - Crown of Thieves (Great crown)

That's all you need to create the Trap, the ultimate Assassin build in Diablo 2 Resurrected. We have so many different builds to choose from, including build "Hammerdin" on Paladin and and Raging Barbarian "Whirlwind".
