Final Fantasy XIV Relic Weapon Guide

Relic Weapons are a group of weapons in Final Fantasy XIV that require a lot of work to upgrade and customize, but are highly rewarding. Due to their high stat potential and difficulty in obtaining, Relic Weapons are often considered to be at the level of ultimate weapons, although there are alternatives for players who don't like Relic Grinds.

Relic weapons have six stages of improvement: basic form, ZenitAtmaAnimusNovus и Nexus. Beginning with the Novus stage, players can customize additional stats for their weapons. Upon reaching the Nexus Stage, players can transform their Relic Weapon into Zodiac weapon, since update 2.45. Unlike many weapons, Relic Weapons cannot be equipped by class, only by upgraded quests.

Relic weapons can be obtained using the quest "Resurrection of a relic", which is available to the player after completing the main story quest. Starting task - Legendary Gunsmith, although upon completion, obtaining an additional relic weapon does not require the quest to be completed again. Gerolt - Chief Armorer of Relic Weapons.

Stages

broken form

The base form is unlocked through a quest with Gerolt. He tasks the adventurer with finding the broken relic to bring it back to him in Hirstmill. After that, the adventurer must bring him a specially crafted weapon with two specific materials combined into two types that differ depending on the class. This will present the player with an unfinished weapon.

Basic form

The base form is an item level 80.

Once a Broken Shape weapon is acquired, the Aluminum Salts from the Chromium Chimera in the Resurrection Relic: Chimera challenge must be obtained by defeating it in the challenge (as the quest for which the weapon is intended). After that, the adventurer should get the book and should talk to Rowena in Mor Dhon and then get the Glyph of Amdapor from Amdapor Keep in exchange for the book Gerolt requested. Then you need to kill 24 specific beastmen from a specific fortress Zahar'ak Lancer x8, Boxer x8, Thaumaturge x8, and then cunning Hydra (to complete the task for which the weapon is intended, using an incomplete weapon).

Finally, White Hot Ember, Howling Storm, and Super Dissolved Ore must be obtained by defeating Ifrit (Hard), Garuda (Hard), and Titan (Hard) respectively, as the weapons are designed to work. After that, you need to purchase a "Bottle of Radz-at-Khan Quenching Oil" for 15 Allagan Poetic Stones and give it to Gerolt in Hirstmill to fill out the basic form.

Zenit

Anti-aircraft weapons are a small upgrade to level 90 weapons that can be obtained through a simple quest.

The first upgrade only requires three Tavnair Mists, which can be purchased from Auriana for the Revenant's cost, Mor Dhon (x22, y6). Each one costs 20 Stones of Poetics, for a total of 60 Stones spent on each relic. After that, the player must visit Herolt's Northern Shroud Furnace and combine them with the base form weapons (Curtana and Holy Shield require two fogs and one fog respectively). This will allow you to switch to Zenith.

Atma

To advance to the Atma level, Gerolt asks the adventurer to speak to Jalzan, who in turn asks that 12 unique Atma crystal items be obtained from the Fates around Eorzea. To get the Atma, the adventurer must complete FATE with a Zenith Relic Weapon, and the crystal can randomly drop at around a 10% chance. Once Atma drops, an in-game pop-up will notify the player. The rating does not affect whether it falls or not, and players should not stay for the full length of FATE until it is completed. Players can collect multiple Atm of the same type, but only one can be used per weapon type.
