The unique class mechanics in Diablo IV are class-exclusive systems that offer additional ways to further customize your class. These systems are also tightly woven into the class fantasy and attempt to provide an immersive gaming experience.
The Barbarian's unique class mechanic is the Arsenal system. The arsenal system allows barbarians to use four different weapons at the same time to fully utilize their skill set based on different weapon requirements. These are their four weapon slots:
- Two-handed club weapon
- Two-handed slashing weapon
- Main hand
- Off-hand
Depending on this requirement, the barbarian will use the correct weapon for the specific skill.
Experience is also part of the arsenal system, which grants bonus effects based on your experience with each type of weapon. This system comes with a vehicle slot, but it was not available during pre-build of the game.
