Guide to all costumes in Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered

Players can get a huge amount of costumes by playing Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. Each suit is either unlocked or crafted using materials known as tokens. While each costume has unique skills that they bestow on Peter Parker, they can be swapped out depending on playstyle or gamer preferences.

Introduction

In total, there are 37 Spider-Man outfit options in the game and add-ons. Many costumes can be unlocked by completing multiple missions in the main story, while others will be unlocked as you level up your character. There are costumes for which additional requirements are put forward. Some even require the search for specific secrets.

Almost all costumes have a unique skill (or power) - a rechargeable skill with which you can get certain advantages in battles. It is noteworthy that after obtaining the costume itself, you can use its unique power with any other. And each power will have its own recharge time.

To craft some costumes, in addition to leveling up, you will need tokens. They are divided into several types, and all can be received thanks to certain events in the city:

  • Crime Tokens - deal with crimes in the city, wherever they occur. Focus on additional, optional targets in crimes. By completing them, you will receive bonus tokens.
  • Backpack tokens - look for stolen backpacks using towers.
  • Base tokens — destroy enemy bases, fight off waves of thugs. As in the case of crimes, these activities contain optional tasks, for the completion of which you will receive bonus base tokens.
  • Attraction tokens - you need to take pictures of various sights of Manhattan.
  • Science Tokens - Successfully complete laboratory mini-puzzles that require you to find science stations to unlock. They are associated with a specific side quest.
  • Challenge Tokens There are many tests hidden in Manhattan. Pass them. And the higher your overall rating, the more challenge tokens you will receive for this.

Spider-Man costumes from the original Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered

Enhanced Suit

  • Costume Buff: Combat concentration is a synthetic biomaterial that produces concentration hormones for a short time.
  • How to get: Complete the game's prologue, the first story mission.
  • First appearance: Spider-Man by Insomniac Games

This costume is available to Spider-Man by default, having first created it and wears this combat set for most of the game. A large white spider with long legs is depicted on the chest, and white insets are visible on the wrists, indicating the place from which Peter shoots the web.

The skill of this suit is called "combat concentration” and allows you to quickly charge your focus without having to attack enemies. Thus, you can quickly and often perform instant attacks or heal even in those moments when you can’t accumulate the focus on your own.

Classic suit (damaged)

  • Costume Buff: no costume related skill
  • How to get: for free.
  • First appearance: Amazing Fantasy #15

The classic suit is based on the iconic original suit that Spider-Man has worn for most of his comic book career. Good old red and blue suit, damaged in the battle with Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) version of this suit is available as a separate option, but it does not have the ability.

Even though you can repair the costume by doing this, you can still put on a damaged version of it at any time.

Classic suit (refurbished)

  • Costume Buff: "Spider Flower" - jump into the air and weave everything in sight with a web.
  • How to get: 2 backpack tokens, 2 crime tokens.
  • First appearance: Amazing Fantasy #15

Same as the damaged suit.

The suit's combat skill, Web Flower, offers an additional spinning web strike, allowing you to entangle all opponents with webs. Some nearby enemies fly off and stick to walls and other objects.

noir

  • Costume Buff: Sound of Silence - Alarmed enemies are unable to call for help
  • How to get: 2 backpack tokens, 1 base token
  • First appearance: Spider-Man Noir #1

In the Marvel Noir universe in which this Spider-Man lives, superheroes began to appear in the 1920s and 30s of the XNUMXth century.

Uncle Ben was killed by the people of the Goblin - the head of the underworld. Seeking revenge, Peter Parker began working for reporter Ben Urich and one day went to a warehouse where Goblin's men were unloading stolen antiques, among which was a statue of a spider. Due to careless handling, it crashed, and many spiders crawled out of it. One of them bit Peter, which caused him to dream of the spider god, and the next morning he had powers. Peter made a suit out of an old pilot's uniform and became a folk avenger calling himself Spider-Man.

It differs from the rest of the Noir costumes by the presence of a pistol, but you cannot use it. You can play as noir Spider-Man in Shattered Dimensions.

Crimson Spider

  • Costume Buff: Decoy is an AR technology that generates decoy holograms. Stuns enemies before disappearing
  • How to get: Reach Level 4, 3 Crime Tokens, 2 Landmark Tokens
  • First appearance: Web of Spider-Man #118

The Crimson Spider suit is a direct reference to the Crimson Spider that first appeared in Web of Spider-Man #118. It has been tried on by several characters, including Ben Reilly, Joe Wade, Kane, and Peter Parker himself.

The power of this costume is called "Decoy" and allows you to divert the attention of opponents. Thus, you can equalize the chances in an unequal battle. Instead of you, opponents will attack a false hologram, which will stun them when it disappears.

Spider Armor Mk II

  • Costume Buff: Bulletproof - magnetically polarized armor plates that provide temporary protection against any bullets
  • How to get: 1 base token, 1 landmark token, 2 science tokens (requires level 5).
  • First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #656

A bulletproof suit created by Peter Parker when he lost his spider-sense. Used during the fight against the serial killer Carnage. In addition to increased durability, the suit is equipped with web shooters that fire magnetic webs from the forearms that block all radio frequencies.

The Bulletproof combat skill will allow you to focus on direct encounters with thugs without worrying about having to constantly dodge and avoid incoming damage. More specifically, you don't have to dodge gunshot damage, but you still have to avoid melee attacks.

secret war

  • Costume Buff: Arms Race - An enhanced electromagnetic pulse that stuns enemies and disables their weapons.
  • How to get: 2 backpack tokens, 1 base token, 2 science tokens (requires level 7).
  • First appearance: Secret War #5

In the comics, this costume appeared in just a couple of shots, but Spider-Man on PS4 is the second game to feature this costume, having previously appeared in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

The combat ability "Arms Race" will allow you to create a powerful explosion around you, which deals damage to all enemies in a wide range of action. The explosion also stuns nearby enemies, temporarily disabling all firearms. For a few seconds, you won't have to worry about ranged weapons.

Stark costume

  • Costume Buff: Spider Brother - Summons an ally to fight by your side for a limited time.
  • How to get: Reach Level 9, 1 Base Token, 3 Crime Tokens, 1 Science Token
  • First appearance: Captain America: Civil War film

Stark's costume is based on the latest Marvel Spider-Man movies. This is what Tony Stark wore in Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Among the innovations:

  • Artificial intelligence named Karen
  • Improved X-Ray Vision Lenses
  • New web shooters capable of throwing out many different kinds of webs
  • Web Cartridge Belt
  • Web wings that allow you to soar in the air
  • Spider Recon Drone (which is used in the game as an ability)
  • GPS tracker, communicator, heater and parachute

The combat ability "Spider Brother" is one of the best in this game. You can launch a small drone that attacks enemies with fire projectiles. They stun and shock enemies with electricity. With their help, you can quickly and easily destroy small groups of thugs.

Negative

  • Costume Buff: Negative War - Synchronization of the Nano Grid to Generate a Crushing Wave of Negative Energy
  • How to get: Reach Level 11, 1 Base Token, 2 Landmark Tokens, 1 Science Token
  • First appearance: Spider-Man by Insomniac Games

The "Negative" costume is made in black and white and is based on the story associated not only with the new villain Mister Negative, but also with the appearance of Spider-Man in the Negative Zone s, it was there that his costume was discolored. However, in other stories, Peter's costume was discolored as a result of an attack by Mister Negative himself.

The negative wave combat ability has a small attack range compared to the same Arms Race, but deals much more damage - akin to the shock wave that a demon brute creates when attacking on the ground.

Insulated suit

  • Costume Buff: "Shock Strike" - high-capacity capacitors connected to the gloves of the suit and shocking enemies.
  • How to get: 3 crime tokens, 1 base token, 1 science token (requires level 13).
  • First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #425

This suit was used during the fight with Electro to protect against electric shocks. In the future, the properties of the Insulated Suit migrated to the Spider Armor.

The combat ability "Shock Strike" allows you to charge all your attacks with electric energy. Instead of the usual web, an electrified one will fly at enemies. All your melee attacks will also be electrified, allowing you to stun your opponents. Moreover, electric charges will move from one enemy to another, provided that they are standing in close proximity.

Spider Punk

  • Costume Buff: "Hard Rock" - defeat enemies with crushing acoustic waves.
  • How to get: Reach level 16, 2 backpack tokens, 3 crime tokens, 2 science tokens, or pre-order the game
  • First appearance: Spider-Verse (2014) #2

Spider-Punk. Spikes on the head, denim vest. We wrote about him in material about crazy versions of Spiders from different universes. Note for the future**:**All costumes in the game are worn by Peter Parker, even if they weren't worn by him in the comics.

The combat ability "Hard Rock" allows you to explode opponents, knocking them into the air from the initial explosion, and then knocking them back in continued waves emanating from Spider-Man's guitar.

wrestler costume

  • Costume Buff: "King of the Ring" - the ability to throw on the web of enemies not entwined with web.
  • How to get: Reach level 19, 2 Backpack Tokens, 2 Base Tokens, 2 Science Tokens
  • First appearance: Ultimate Spider-Man #3

The wrestler costume is based on the first homemade kit created by Peter Parker himself when he expended his energy on fighting tournaments in an attempt to earn money. As a result, this negligent attitude led to several dishonest acts and the death of Uncle Ben.

The combat ability "King of the Ring" will allow you to stop using spider gadgets to stun enemies. Instead, for a limited amount of time, you can toss all opponents into the air as many times as you like.

Fear and horror

  • Costume Buff: Quadruple Strike - Activation of artificial muscles based on nanostructures, allowing you to deal HUGE damage
  • How to get: Reach Level 21, 2 Base Tokens, 6 Challenge Tokens, 3 Science Tokens
  • First appearance: Fear Itself #7

During the Fear Itself global event, Spider-Man received from Tony Stark and the gnome blacksmiths of Nidavellir a new suit with an admixture of Uru metal - the hammer Mjolnir is made from it. In addition to the changed color scheme and traditional durability, the suit is equipped with bladed armlets.

The combat ability "Quadruple Strike" significantly increases the damage of your attacks. Despite such a long cooldown, you get a significant increase in all melee attacks, and in a matter of seconds you can destroy a huge enemy group.

Camouflage suit "First-class"

  • Costume Buff: Distortion Field - Creates a distortion field that reduces the vision of non-Alert enemies.
  • How to get: 2 base tokens, 4 challenge tokens, 3 landmark tokens (requires level 23).
  • First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #650

The First-Class Disguise Suit is based on the Marvel Comics High Stakes story arc. In it, Spider-Man creates a new suit (this happens in the 650th issue) using light and sound wave bending technology, which makes it a set that is ideal for stealth movement.

The Warp Field combat ability allows you to sneak up on and kill unsuspecting enemies. If you have not attacked the enemy, then he cannot see your movements and techniques, which makes the task easier.

Spider Armor MK III

  • Costume Buff: "Titanium Alloy Plates" is a dynamic semi-fluid "Smart Alloy" that can temporarily deflect bullets back at enemies.
  • How to get: 2 base tokens, 4 challenge tokens, 3 landmark tokens (requires level 23).
  • First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #682

The Mk III suit was designed by Peter Parker himself at Horizon Labs when he set out to confront the supervillain Rhino.

The suit has been equipped with many improvements:

  • Helmet with hearing enhancement to detect the Chameleon's special heartbeat, communicator and the ability to control and disable any tech device in New York City (the latest technology is based on the old Doctor Octopus helmet that Parker tried to use it against)
  • Improved lenses with a holographic visor that allows you to see through Mysterio's illusions, as well as the ability to find the Sandman's weak points, allowing him to control his form
  • Protection against Electro, allowing him to suppress his powers
  • Built-in web shooters, allowing you to release large amounts of web
  • Rocket boosters that give the ability to fly
  • Increased strength
  • Belt for cartridges with web and bugs

The combat ability Titanium Alloy Plates grants you a tough reinforced layer that will deflect almost all bullets except those fired from sniper weapons.

Black suit "Spider-Man 2099"

  • Costume Buff: "Low Gravity" - Reduced gravity while in the air.
  • How to get: 2 base tokens, 4 crime tokens, 4 science tokens (requires level 29).
  • First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #365

2099 Miguel O'Hara is an Irish-Mexican engineer working for the Alkemax Corporation. He was not satisfied with the full control of the corporation over New York. In it, he was engaged in experiments on the introduction of genetic codes into human physiology. After the death of one of the test subjects, O'Hara decided to quit, but his boss mixed into the drink he offered a highly addictive hallucinogen that binds to the victim's DNA and is produced only in Alkemax.

Trying to find a cure for the drug, O'Hara decided to repeat the experiment on himself, as a result of which his genes were combined with those of a spider, endowing him with spider abilities. Miguel's costume is made of unstable molecules and features a "light-byte" cape, a web-like material, spiked wrists and claws.

The combat ability "Low Gravity" will allow you to hover in the air for longer, performing more moves and carefully calculating your actions before landing. You will be able to dash upwards or beat opponents on the fly with your feet.

Iron Spider Suit

  • Costume Buff: Iron Hands - Crush your enemies with four monatomic crystal alloy artificial arms.
  • How to get: 3 base tokens, 3 challenge tokens, 4 crime tokens (requires level 31).
  • First appearance: Spider-Man: Homecoming movie

This combat kit was designed by Tony Stark. The specific version of the costume was taken from the Avengers: Infinity War movie (note the gold inlays confirming our hunch).

Improvements over the previous costume:

  • Neural interface that responds quickly to Spider-Man's commands
  • Metal tentacle arms (the ones used in the ability in the game)
  • Remote control - used by Stark in Infinity War, forcibly releasing a parachute
  • Increased durability and armored web shooters

The Iron Hands combat ability greatly increases melee damage and also increases range as you now attack with four giant spider limbs that emerge from your hero's back.

Speed

  • Costume Buff: "Blitz" - microgyroscopes allow you to run faster, and real-time momentum transfer helps to knock down opponents.
  • How to get: Reach Level 33, 2 Backpack Tokens, 4 Challenge Tokens, 2 Landmark Tokens (was available when you pre-ordered the game)
  • First appearance: Spider-Man by Insomniac Games

The "Speed" suit was designed by renowned comic book artist and film character designer Adi Granov. He did not meet anywhere else. It can be identified by its eye visors, clearer plating, and a glowing blue spider symbol (which glows even in the dark).

The combat ability Blitz not only increases movement speed, but also allows you to knock down all enemies for some time.

Spider Armor MK IV

  • Costume Buff: Force Shield - Generates an energy shield that temporarily absorbs any damage.
  • How to get: 4 base tokens, 4 challenge tokens, 3 landmark tokens (requires level 35).
  • First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 4#1

This armor is based on a set developed by Parker in the stories in which Parker Industries becomes a global technology corporation. This is one of the most technologically advanced combat kits, which was created using liquid nanotechnology that responds to mental and sound commands.

The most advanced Spider-Man suit, equipped with a huge number of different improvements, including:

  • Many sensors allowing him to see infrared and ultrasonic radiation, explosives, track magical energy, scan people for injuries and much more
  • Even more advanced web shooters that can stop even a shot from Iron Man's repulsors
  • Acid and cement web
  • An electric attack that, when touched by the suit, overloads the nervous system of opponents, preventing them from controlling their motor functions.
  • Spider drones
  • Suit temperature control, both for camouflage and attack
  • Protection against physical and energy attacks
  • Antidotes
  • Emergency system that releases webs when falling at top speed

The combat ability "Force Shield" allows you to become invulnerable to all types of damage for some time. The time interval is relatively small, so I recommend activating this skill at those moments when you can really die.

Spider Soul

  • Costume Buff: "Spiritual fire" - the broadcast of unstable waves of destructive astral energy from ... in general, from somewhere.
  • How to get: 6 base tokens, 6 challenge tokens, 6 crime tokens (requires level 37).
  • First appearance: Incredible Hulks Annual #1

Spider Soul (in the comics - Ghost Spider) - Peter Parker from an alternative universe, whose soul was returned from hell after death, filling with the spirits and powers of repentant sinners.

The combat ability "Spiritual Fire" allows you to set fire to the skull of the Ghost Spider. All of your attacks deal bonus Hellfire damage and stun enemies with blue flames.

Spider-Man 2099 white suit

  • Costume Buff: Knockback - A focused wave that knocks enemies into the air with each attack.
  • How to get: 4 base tokens, 4 challenge tokens, 4 crime tokens (requires level 39).
  • First appearance: Spider-Man 2099 Vol. 3#1

Another of Spider-Man 2099's battle suits worn by Miguel O'Hara. This costume was created at Parker Industries by Peter Parker himself. It glows red, but it can change its color.

The combat ability "Knockback" imbues your melee attacks with a shockwave that knocks back enemies. You can drop enemies off rooftops or launch them straight into walls.

Retrocomic

  • Costume Buff: Taunt is an insult to your enemies
  • How to get: Reach Level 41, 4 Challenge Tokens, 4 Backpack Tokens, 4 Crime Tokens
  • First appearance: 1994 animated series

The iconic vintage comic book costume is based on early issues of The Amazing Spider-Man. It has a stylized black outline, which makes the character stand out in the game (as if the cartoon character was in a regular movie).

The Taunt combat ability doesn't really buff you. Instead, it has a short cooldown and, when activated, sharpens Peter's mind, allowing him to joke and taunt his enemies with even greater enthusiasm.

The last dash

  • Costume Buff: Unbridled Wrath - Enemies, including those with shields, cannot block or interrupt your attacks.
  • How to get: 20 crime tokens (requires level 45).
  • First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 2#58

This costume was based on the alternate universe version of Peter Parker, where he killed Kraven the Hunter and became a darker hero. His new anti-hero tendencies led to his expulsion from the Avengers. Ultimately, he kills Doctor Octopus. In his "final push", he refuses to turn himself in to the NYPD.

Encounter Ability Unbridled Wrath is an amazing offensive skill that allows you to immediately destroy any enemy attacked, including enemies with shields or brutes.

Underwear

  • Costume Buff: Equal odds - everyone, including yourself, is knocked out with one hit
  • How to get: 100% complete all districts
  • First appearance: Spider-Man by Insomniac Games

There is no need for extra words here - Peter Parker flies around the city in what his mother gave birth to (as well as a mask and shorts - because the secret of personality and age rating). A similar costume was in The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 3 #1, but the underpants there were extra-made of cobwebs.

Homemade suit

  • Costume Buff: no costume related skill
  • How to get: Find all 55 backpacks.
  • First appearance: Spider-Man: Homecoming movie

The first suit that Peter Parker made for himself in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was equipped with web shooters and lenses that block stimuli and help focus.

Empire State student costume

  • Costume Buff: no costume related skill
  • How to get: Complete all 50 Photo Challenges.
  • First appearance: Spider-Man by Insomniac Games

The costume is unpretentious - an ordinary student at the University of Empire State, but with a spider mask on his head.

Suit "Anti-Ok"

  • Costume Buff: Recharge - a distributed nanonetwork that instantly replenishes the ammo of the selected gadget
  • How to get: complete the story campaign
  • First appearance: Spider-Man by Insomniac Games

This costume is created by Peter Parker at the end of the game.

Dark suit

  • Costume Buff: no costume related skill
  • How to get: Complete all Black Cat challenges.
  • First appearance: Spider-Man/Deadpool #8

This costume was created thanks to the Symbiont. Instead of a white logo, it displays a red spider. Although associated with Venom and the Symbiote costume, this battle set is inspired by early Marvel comics, in which the Black Cat creates a copy of him without alien particles.
