Apex Legends Season 11 Map Guide Storm Point: Everything You Need to Know
Respawn Entertainment has finally unveiled Storm Point, the newest battle royale map coming to Apex Legends in Season 11. The new map takes Apex players to a beautiful yet dangerous tropical island.
Set in Gaea, one of the many planets in Outland, this new map is completely different from anything Apex Legends has seen before, with pristine beaches, blue waters, and colorful vegetation.
However, the gameplay trailer also reveals the dangers lurking there, including vagrants and spiders that players will encounter as they travel through the map.
Apex Legends Season 11 Gameplay Trailer
The new map features gravity guns that launch players a considerable distance, but only in a straight line from one end to the other.
The tridents, the vehicles first introduced on the Olympus Season 7 map, are also making a comeback, allowing players to quickly navigate the massive location.
Storm Point is now Apex's fourth Battle Royale map after The Canyon, End of the World (Season 3) and Olympus (Season 7).
This new map was developed by the same lead designer as World's Edge, Rodney Rees. World's Edge has proven to be a fan favorite, especially for ranked play, so it'll be interesting to see how Storm Point fares in that regard.
Spiders and vagrants at Storm Point
Predator Nests and Spider Eggs are a common sight on Stormspot and will attack players if provoked. Fighting wildlife will bring loot and some damage to your Evo armor.
Как explains Respawn :
- Smart Loot: Upon death, vagrants and spiders have a chance to drop attachments and ammo for your squad depending on your weapon, in addition to a few consumables and other goodies.
- EVO Points: A small percentage of all damage dealt to wildlife is rewarded with your EVO armor. This includes flyers.
- Crafting Materials: For clearing a nest, you will receive a mass of crafting materials, which, when completed, are divided equally between each party member in the nest.
Spiders can be an intimidating prospect for players who are afraid of insects, but they will only appear if their eggs are shot at, so leave them alone if you want.
The map will also show you the location of wild animal nests so you can be on the lookout.
Points of Interest Storm Point
Storm Point is 15% larger than World's Edge and has a total of 17 Points of Interest (POIs) as well as much smaller drop areas.
BAROMETER
The barometer is the heart of Storm Point. The platform in the center rotates.
COMMAND CENTER
This command center has one of the longest ziplines in the game.
ANTENNA
A cable is also attached to the top of this communication dish.
CHECKPOINT
The checkpoint is located among the dense forest and is one of the most beautiful places.
LIGHTNING ROD
The lightning rod is the highest point on the map, so you can get a good view of everything from here.
Stormcatcher
We will definitely try out these long mountain slides.
NORTHERN SITE
A labyrinth-like area with underground bunkers to explore.
MILL
Feel like you are on the beach at the windmill.
SUDOPAD
A highlight of the trailer, this POI is aptly named after an abandoned shipwreck.
CAVE
It would not be a map of the island with a network of caves.
Other map locations:
- WALL
- HIGH POINT
- THUNDER CLOCK
- CASCADE OF FALLS
- SITE LAUNCH
