Elden Ring relic guide. The best starting relic.

Relics in Elden Ring - (eng. Keepsakes) are in many ways similar to the Gifts in the Dark Souls trilogy, one of which must be picked up at the beginning of the game and not lose sight of this moment! All of these items are not unique and can be found in the world, but trust me, the starting free item will serve an important role in the early game.

There are a total of 9 relics in the game.

During character creation в Elden Ring you can choose one item to start the game with. There are 9 items in total, but you can also start the game without them. It is important to note that all Relics can be obtained in the game along the way, which means that you should choose a Relic based on your build and playstyle.

The following relics are available (Keepsakes):

  • golden seed - Grants another flask of health or mana. You can use immediately.
  • xiphoid key - two keys that break the seal on the statues of demons. Not reapplied, not needed at the start of the game. You can take on a second passage when you want to open alternative paths.
  • Crimson Amber Medallion — increases health by 26. An optional relic, which is compensated by pumping health literally by one.
  • Interearth Rune - 3000 runes, which are experience. Saving 15-20 minutes of dense cleaning of various territories from mobs.
  • Fang Imp Ashes - summons a demon, cannot be activated at the start, the hero will not have the ability to summon spirits.
  • arcane branch - five branches that allow you to enchant the enemy. Disappear after use, not recommended.
  • boiled shrimp - does not give a permanent effect, you can temporarily increase damage resistance. Only five pieces.
  • Pot - pots can be found in the world of Elden Ring, it is not necessary to take at the start.
  • Oath of Shabriri - provokes enemies, definitely not recommended for beginners.

Best Relic (Keepsake) Elden Ring

All Relics provide an advantage in the early game and are chosen depending on your Build and approach to the game. For example, if you want instant access to Stone Imp locations, you can choose the Sword Key. In addition, players can immediately increase their HP or get runes to quickly level up.

Our recommendation for the best starting relic (Keepsake) is golden seed. This will give you extra use of flasks - either helping you regenerate your HP or FP, as in the early game survivability is paramount.

Crimson Amber Medallion (Crimson medallion) is a good option to increase your HP while wearing it - however you can find it from the nearby ruins (south of the lake and southeast of your starting position).

Meanwhile Fang Imp Ashes (Fanged Impashes) is a good idea if you want the summon to distract enemies in early fights. However, ash is a fairly common reward, especially in early dungeons, and is another item you can find in the world, albeit somehow on the critical path, specifically the gate to the Raya Lucaria Academy ).

Another item worth highlighting is xiphoid key (Stonesword Key). This is an item that can open certain locks throughout the game and is quite rare in the game world.
