Statues of the Seven Archons
Archons are local deities. Each of them is assigned a separate region dedicated to a particular element. There are statues of deities. And although, judging by the name, they are dedicated to all seven Archons at once, in each region they are responsible for different elements. At the moment, the game has only the air and earth region, and with it, anemo statues and geo statues.
After interacting with any statue for the first time, you will unlock part of the region on the map. It works like the "Ubisoft towers" we're familiar with, like the Assassin's Creed franchise. Further, the activated tower will serve as a pointer with which you can navigate the terrain.
In addition to the topographic advantages, the Statues of the Seven Archons are good in that they restore health (within reasonable limits, using a supply of resources restored over time), increase stamina to the maximum, and change the elemental talents of the characters. Since there are only two regions in Genshin Impact so far, you can make your heroes air or ground. In the future, the map will expand and we will see the embodiment of all seven elements (and maybe the mysterious eighth, which is already rumored).

You can level up Archon statues with Anemoculus and Geoculus, rare resources scattered across the map. As you understand from the names, each resource is suitable for statues from different regions. Anemocules are needed for anemo statues, and geocules are needed for geo statues. To make it easier for you to find these resources, we have made a screenshot of the map with notes.
By making offerings to the statues, you will increase their level. Sometimes this process is needed to complete missions. For example, to complete the second chapter, you will be asked to level up the Archon statue in Mondstadt to level four.
And then the question arises - what is the maximum level of the statue and how many resources are needed to increase it. So, the maximum level is the tenth. As for the volume of nested anemocules and geocules, here is a convenient table for you:

That is, by giving an anemo statue one anemoculus, you will increase it to the second level. Having given her fifteen anemocules at the ninth level, you will reach the ceiling. It's the same with geo statues. After each level-up, you will receive experience for the shared account level and nice gifts in the form of rare resources. Plus, the supply of internal elements of the statues will increase and they will be able to heal you more effectively. Although, in the case of treatment, it is better to rely on healers - they are always at hand.
