Where to Find Ancient Debris and Netherite Scrap in Minecraft
The Minecraft Nether update has introduced a material stronger than Diamond. Here's where to find Ancient Fragments to craft Netherite Scrap.
The recent Minecraft Nether update brought some big changes to the game, including the addition of a new material that is more durable than Diamonds. Players wishing to travel to the Nether can mine Ancient Fragments, which can be smelted into Netherite Scape and used to improve tools and equipment. Sounds pretty nice, right? So, where do you find Ancient Debris in Minecraft?
Minecraft Ancient Ruins Location - How to get there
Before we tell you where to find Ancient Debris, we need to explain how to actually mine it. In particular, you'll need a diamond pickaxe on hand, as it's the only way to get the wreckage. So, once you take care of that, you need to jump in nether portaland get ready to dig. In the Nether, Ancient Debris can only be found at levels 8-22, so searching in higher or lower tier areas will be a waste of your time. Also, be careful when you dig because it's VERY easy to get caught in lava - and there's nothing more depressing than losing all your loot in a fiery death.
If you've never seen Ancient Debris before, it looks like wood and is a darker shade of brown than regular Nether blocks. Finding him can be quite tricky as he doesn't show up very often, but you'll know when you see him. Once you have collected enough Ancient Fragments, you can smelt them into Netherite Scrap. From there, you can combine four blocks of Netherite Scrap with four Gold Ingots (see the image above) and voila, you will get some Netherite Ingots.
With these ingots in hand, you will be able to turn your diamond materials into Netherite, which will make them even stronger. Once you're at the crafting table, you'll want to place your diamond tool in the left slot and your Netherite ingot in the right slot, and you'll have a new fancy tool.
If you want the best content in the game, you will need to find the time to do so. Thankfully, players will only need one Netherite Ingot to upgrade their weapons, but getting that ingot will still be a big problem.
