Where to Find and How to Train Dinosaurs in Fortnite
Season 16 of Fortnite has a new wild animal - the dinosaur! Here's where to find prehistoric predators and how to tame them.
When Season 2021, Chapter 6 of the popular Fortnite battle royale debuted in March 2 from Epic Games , one of the most exciting additions, without a doubt, was the ability to tame wild animals, including wolves, boars, chickens, and even frogs.
Epic promised that more wild animals would arrive as the season progressed, and many players suspected that the slow-hatching eggs that appeared around the Island hinted at the arrival of dinosaurs, which fits with the main theme of the season.
Well, now those rumors have been confirmed as the Predators have arrived in Fortnite as part of the recent v16.10 patch updates . Here's everything you need to know about finding and taming these dangerous prehistoric creatures.
Where to find dinosaurs in Fortnite
Like all other wild animals, predatory lizards do not always appear in the same place. This means that you will need to search around the island, as Velociraptor spawns are random and there is an element of luck as other players will be looking for them too.
However, Fortnite does seem to have predators appearing next to hatched eggs, which makes sense. We've seen them in Hidden Keep and west of Mountain Town, so you might want to try looking there.
The raptors will screech to summon their fellow dinosaurs when they spot you, so be ready to attack.

How to tame Dinosaurs in Fortnite
All wild animals in Fortnite can be destroyed for resources, including animal bones and meat, or they can be tamed to help you in battle. For example, chickens can help you fly, and wolves will fight alongside you in combat.
Without a doubt, predators are the most dangerous wild animals on the island at the moment, and players will be interested to see if they can tame them. Fortunately, this is a very real possibility, and it's not that difficult if you know how to do it.
Here's how to tame Predators in Fortnite Season 6:
- Destroy a wild animal and collect the meat left after it.
- Find the raptor near their hatched eggs. They often hunt in packs, so be prepared.
- Throw meat nearby and hide.
- As soon as the predator is distracted by the meat, quickly approach him.
- Hold the command button to "tame" the predator.
Another way is to use a hunter's cloak. You will need to create it using the meat and bones obtained from the destruction of several wild animals, so this is not the fastest method, but you can find out how to do it, here .
This is everything you need to know about Predators in Fortnite. Whether more wild animals will be added to Epic Games remains to be seen, but if they do, rest assured we'll keep you posted.
