The update to Fortnite Chapter 3 introduced a slew of new weapons and completely turned the island upside down, but the chickens stay in certain places - and you can fly with them!
There are many quests to keep players busy in Fortnite and one of the big events at the moment is Winter Festival 2021 of the year. One of his tasks requires you to find a chicken and fly 200 meters with it - which is easy to do once you know where to find them.
Feathers may seem like a lackluster addition at first glance, though they are capable of fun and actionable tricks in the right hands. With these winged companions, you can cover large distances on the map in no time.

Where to Find Chickens in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1
Locations where chickens often spawn in Fortnite.
Chickens appear randomly throughout the map, but there are places where you will definitely find them in Chapter 3:
- Southwest of A greasy diner.
- Near the gas station west of the Sawmill.
- In the center of the map where they are hidden abandoned towers (currently covered with snow).
- Over the river north of Cinema.
- Near dressing south of rocky cinema.
- West of Daily Bugle.
Chickens are one of the easiest animals to find in the wild. However, this knowledge will save you time.
The map above highlights some of the more common chicken spawning grounds on the season 19 map. It is not guaranteed that they will always appear here in every match, but the chance is very high.
How to fly chicken in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1
Flying with chicken in Fortnite is a lot of fun.
When you spot a chicken in the wild in Fortnite, your first task is to grab it. They will run away and change direction when approached to try and get away from you. However, if you are fast enough, you can catch her.
With the chicken now held overhead, you will notice a unique effect. Jumping is now much more efficient as the chicken helps keep you in the air. Using this trick allows you to cover a little more distance than usual.
To complete the challenge, you will need to fly a total of 200 meters. To do this, we recommend finding a high cliff edge or building a high ramp and then launch yourself into flight.
Expect chickens to be a hot commodity as more trials require you to find and use them (poor chickens).
