Where to Find Sizzliped in Pokemon Sword & Shield
One of the rarest Pokémon in Sword & Shield is Sizzlipede. Those who are still looking for the tiny Fire Insect to complete their Pokédex are in luck, as there is actually an easier way to catch one than you might think.
Sword & Shield debuted in 2019 and brought the Pokemon series to its eighth generation. The Nintendo Switch game introduced fans to the Galar region for the first time and included new game features such as Dynamaxing and Max Raids.
While many have long passed RPG history, some trainers are still looking for Sizzleepied to complete their Pokedex. The tiny little monster has a spawn rate of only 1%, however there is a method that will make it spawn 50% of the time.
How to easily find and catch Sizzlipede in Sword & Shield
Many Sword & Shield owners are familiar with the Centiskorch as the tall fire centipede is one of Gym Leader Kabu's main monsters. However, his first evolution, Sizzlipede, has one of the rarest spawn rates in the game.
According to the Pokedex entry, the creature stores flammable gas in its body. The monster wraps itself around its enemies and "strangles them with its rings".
Trainers can technically catch this Pokémon during Motostoke Gym Challenges. Although many often skip this, remaining to catch them in the wild with a spawn rate of 1%. Fortunately, there is an easier way to do this.
Flash fire method
- Step 1. Quickly get to Route 3 next to Motostock. Upon arrival, go right until you are on the left of the town entrance. Look for Vulpix in another world. If you can't see it, go to Motostoke before turning around to drop the monsters in the area.
- Step 2: After you catch Vulpix, go to his summary and make sure he has the Flash Fire ability, which should be listed on the stats page. Having this will attract Fire Pokémon to you, which will increase their spawn rate. Put the creature in the first slot of your lineup.
- Step 3: Head back to the tall grass next to the Motostock entrance and look for the red exclamation mark. Sizzliped only appears in unexpected fights. With Vulpix in your party, his spawn rate is increased to 50% as he is one of the few fire monsters in the area. Keep running across the grass until he fights you, although it should be pretty fast with this ability.
- Step 4: We recommend having someone in your group who has False Swipe, Sleep, or Paralysis. Use the Big Ball or Ultra Ball to increase your chances and that's it! Pretty simple, right?
You can also just run around the Route 3 lawn outside of Motostoke using the location on the map we have posted above. As mentioned earlier, the insect spawn rate is 1%, however we believe that the Flash Fire method is much faster.
According to Serebiya , 'mon can also be found in five 5-star Max Raid battles. Another method is to capture two Centiskorchs from his evolution and leave them to the breeder. You can also leave one of these with Ditto and the egg will be Sizzlipede.
