Attack Patterns of Pure Anemo Hypostasis

Combo 1 - Tornado Phase

During this phase, tornadoes will spawn and move around the arena. You can avoid the tornado fairly easily by walking to the edges of the area, or by destroying one of the Anemo Crystals to create an air current and hover above the tornado. Additionally, infusing the tornado with other elements can help interrupt the Vacuum Pulse attack.

Combo 2 - Anemo Explosions

After the moment of charging from the Hypostasis Pure Anemo Core, 3 anemo shots will be fired. You will need to dash at least 3 times to dodge the explosions.

Combo 3 - AoE Air Burst

Hypostasis launches its defensive cubes into the air and begins to slowly unleash bursts of anemia in telegraphed spaces. Since this attack leaves the core open to attack and the AoE bursts are fairly easy to dodge, you can consider this as another attack window.

Combo 4 - Butterfly Attack

When Anemo's core transforms into a butterfly, it performs a two-hit combo attack. The first attack is a big AoE hit that launches the player before the anemo cross hits. If you dodge through the AoE to where the core transformed, the second attack will fail.

Combo 5 - Cotton

A more powerful version of the hypostasis slam attack. This version will produce 3 anemo strikes right after the clap. By quickly dodging left or right, you will avoid pops and bumps.

Combo 6 - Vacuum Shot

The defensive cubes will be ejected and the core will be open for a few seconds before all the cubes are pulled back into the core for a crushing attack. The crushing attack is very powerful and can shoot some characters. We recommend using a ranged squad to safely damage the core from afar.

Combo 7 - Vacuum Impulse

Similar to the normal Anemo Hypostasis, the core will absorb floating elemental orbs and cause anemo pulses throughout the arena that knock the player down. The number of impulses can be reduced by creating a stream of wind from Anemo Crystals and collecting as many Anemo Orbs as possible. It is also possible to avoid impulses by using currents.

We recommend interrupting this attack completely by changing the Elemental Orbs to during the tornado phase.

Combo 8 - Storm Butterfly

This is a new ultimate attack unique to Pure Anemo Hypostasis. After the core transforms into a butterfly, the entire arena will be blown away by a hurricane that will deal heavy damage over time. This attack can be interrupted by performing a dive attack on the floating core. It is recommended to create a wind flow from anemo crystals or use characters such as Keqing or Albedo to easily perform a dive attack.
