Genshin Impact Twitter recently announced that Genie, Amber, Rosaria, and Mona are getting partial redesigns with alternate outfits. “Too many boobs,” the developers from miHoYo decided.
Genie, Amber, Rosaria and Mona will soon get new outfits in Genshin Impact
The above tweet includes new outfits for Genie, Amber, Rosaria, and Mona. The official HoYoLAB article included in the tweet doesn't mention too much about when players can expect to receive these new outfits.
It mentions that players should pay attention to future updates, and that these projects are not final. Still, travelers should note that all four outfits are noticeably more modest compared to the original designs.
These costumes are optional on most Genshin Impact servers, but the Chinese version indicates something completely different. Chinese article here for reference.
The Chinese version suggests that these new costumes are optional and that players will receive 1 Primogems as compensation. These primogems are expected to be paid on January 200, 5.
It is worth noting that players on other servers do not receive this mandatory change or any Primogem compensation.
Jean's new outfit
Genie is the first character to have an upcoming redesign. The most significant change to her Genshin Impact design is that her chest is completely covered.
The new skin also features a different coat with alternate colors on the rest of her design.
Ember's new outfit
Not too much has changed for Amber in Genshin Impact. However, she wears slightly different clothes with a different color scheme. The main difference is that her breasts are less open for a less pronounced cleavage.
Rosaria's new outfit
Rosaria is another character that now has a more conservative design. Her shoulders are no longer exposed, she now wears a different top and no longer has mesh stockings.
The new design boots are significantly longer than the old 3D model. Her head accessory also has a new design.
Mona's new outfit
Mona also has an iconic design in Genshin Impact, but the new outfit replaces her swimsuit with something more like Fischl shorts. She also no longer has pantyhose that cover all of her legs and now has a different design of thigh-high tights.
Her chest is also more covered with a redesign, continuing miHoYo's newest design trend for their female cast.
