Unlike a normal Geo Hypostasis, this Hypostasis' basalt column has the following unique properties:
- · While the hypostasis is on the basalt column, its core does not change its position during attacks. After a certain amount of time, the basalt pillar containing the Hystasis Core explodes, dealing area damage and creating a sand vortex that deals damage over time.
- · After the destruction of the basalt column, a basalt crystal will appear.
- · After activating the basalt column, it will fire at the characters with stone needles.
- · A shattered basalt pillar leaves behind a geo shard that grants a shield to the character who picks it up.
- · Once all the basalt pillars are destroyed, the hypostasis core will stop creating new ones and resort to a new attack, Gilded Wave: By gathering energy from nearby stone pillars, it will create shock waves. To interrupt the golden wave, destroy all stone pillars.
Pure Geo Hypostasis: How to Defeat the Boss
When the challenge begins, all characters in the assembled squad will receive a full health bar and a fully charged elemental blast.
Use at least one Greatsword user
Geo Hypostasis will start the fight by placing 4 basalt pillars, preventing you from using melee attacks. Make sure you have at least one user in your group claymoreto quickly destroy pillars.
This will leave Hypostasis vulnerable to your attacks and prevent him from using other abilities.
Break 4 pillars
As with the regular Geo Hypostasis fight, it's important to break the pillars to make him vulnerable to attack. By quickly destroying 4 pillars, the fight will be much easier.
Focus on the column with Hypostasis
Hypostasis will move through the four pillars, setting up different attack patterns. Focus on damaging the pillars where the boss is, as he will be left vulnerable after the pillar is destroyed.
Use columns to take cover
Columns during combat will launch geo-projectiles, dealing high damage. You can avoid this by taking cover behind one of the pillars and using those projectiles to deal more damage to the pillars themselves.
Breaking pillars gives you shields
Breaking each pillar will drop several shield crystals that protect you from damage during combat.
Destroy 3 Respawn Pillars
After greatly reducing his HP, Geo Hypostasis will create 3 stone pillars to respawn. Destroy all pillars to win the battle!
Attack Patterns of Pure Geo Hypostasis
Combo 1 - Stone Pillar Attack
At the start of the fight, every Stone Pillar (except for the Hypostasis Pillar) will fire geo-projectiles at you. Make sure you dodge and use the free pole to take cover.
Combo 2 - Shockwave
The pillars on which the hypostasis is located will emit a strong shock wave. Make sure you have shields to absorb damage when the pillar is destroyed.
Combo 3 - Homing AoE Attack
This is a variant of shock wave homing. As soon as the ground erupts, get ready to dodge the attack. This will be done 3 times in a row, which means that timing is critical to avoid getting hit.
Combo 4 - Hammer Attack
This is one of the hypostasis attacks when all the Stone Pillars are destroyed. Dodge the highlighted area and attack the boss while he is vulnerable!
Combo 5 - Shockwave 2
After destroying one pillar, a crystal will remain that will deal high AoE damage. Run away from it as soon as you break the pole.
Combo 6 - Field Attack
A new attack unique to this fight, the crystals left over from the destruction of the pillars will fuse with the hypostasis and deal massive area of effect damage. Break these crystals to be safe.
Combo 7 - Clap Attack
Similar to a hammer attack, this attack will leave the hypostasis vulnerable. Dodge this and deal more damage to the geo-boss!
