Walkthrough Chapter 3: Kashyyyk in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Mantis ship
Interact with the galaxy map and select Kashyyyk. Remember to go up to the bridge and sit in the chair after receiving the appropriate instructions. Cal will jump out of the mantis sting - the chapter starts in the water.
Take control of the AT-AT
Start swimming towards the nearest AT-AT. Your task is to climb to its top - you will have to do this while the AT-AT is moving. The left forelimb of AT-AT has vines. You can catch it and start climbing up.
The path of ascent is very linear. If necessary, you can jump to the neighboring vines. Start by moving towards the back of the AT-AT. Then climb onto its starboard side, crawl under the front cannons and then get to the top of the left armor.
Your goal is to climb to the top of the big walking machine. Find the interactive hatch - use it to get inside the AT-AT. Squeeze through the left opening and get to a room with several stormtroopers.
Once they are dead, go to the cockpit. Press the button to distract the opponents (down on the d-pad) to eliminate them and take control of the AT-AT.
Piloting AT-AT
The AT-AT section is linear and fairly simple. You follow a linear path and your only task is to shoot at the enemies. Use blasters (note - they overheat if you shoot them continuously) and cannons. These weapons are best used alternately.
Start by destroying another AT-AT. After entering the jungle, focus on shooting stormtroopers and destructible objects (like the bridge). If necessary, you can stop for a moment and shoot from a stationary position. An AT-ST will appear in your path, but it has no chance against AT-AT. In the final part of this sequence, you will have to shoot at enemy planes. The next sequence is scripted-AT-AT is destroyed. Cal has to keep walking.
Passage through the first part of the jungle
After seeing a meeting with Saw Gerrera, you can start exploring Kashyyyk. Choose the only available exit from the landing pad. The main path through the jungle requires you to run along one of the walls. You reach an inactive machine - scan it. You will find out that BD-1 needs an update.
Go back a little and follow the side route hidden behind the cables. In the new location, go to the lower level and approach the desktop shown in the picture. This unlocks a new ability for BD-1-Overcharge. You can connect to selected panels to turn them on or off.
Immediately after receiving the upgrade, Cal will be attacked by the Wyyyschokk spider. Start by quickly pressing said button to free yourself. After that, you can start fighting the monster. Avoid the web shot by the monster - Cal can be wrapped in a cocoon and temporarily immobilized. You can try to parry the monster's regular attacks, but it's safer to dodge to the side and attack after the spider misses.
After winning the battle, climb the wall to reach the platform above. Press the button to order the BD-1 to connect to the panel and use Overcharge. This will move the structure with the rope down. After turning off the panel, you can grab the rope and leave this place.
Return to the central part of the jungle and return to the panel you saw earlier. BD-1 can now connect to it. The adjacent structure will be activated. Wait until he is in the place presented in the picture above, use force to slow him down and run along the newly created wall. This will allow you to cross the abyss.
You will meet fire bugs for the first time. They are very weak, but they explode on death, so be sure to move away from them. Jump onto the rope, run up the walls, and then climb up the vertical wall.
Search for the first group of Wookiees
After watching the video with Saw, you will get an objective to save the Wookiees. Get to the barricade and destroy it with a force push. Get to the imperial oil refinery - you will find a place to meditate. Continue on your way and use the push force again to get rid of the next obstacle. Eliminate stormtroopers. Watch out for grenades thrown by one of the commanders. Move on and attack the next group of stormtroopers.
If you need a break after defeating the second group of stormtroopers, you can turn right, use force to slow down the car, and then reach the meditation spot. When you open the next door, you will come across Electrostaff. This enemy uses a staff with two electrical ends. This enemy is good at parrying and countering attacks. Get ready for it. Try to dodge and attack the soldiers when the enemy finishes their attack sequence.
Squeeze through and get to the place with the bugs and stormtroopers. It's best not to get involved and only deal with the survivors. Be careful, because this is the first time you will encounter flamethrowers. You can jump on them or quickly approach them when they run out of fuel while reloading their flamethrowers.
Jump to the climbing wall and move to the upper right corner. There is a panel that the BD-1 can interact with. After viewing the effects of the activated machine, use the newly opened passage to the next location.
You now have access to a new meditation space. You will also notice Stormtroopers fighting large spiders. It's best not to bother them and let one side (probably the spiders) win. This will make it much easier to deal with weakened or less numerous enemies/monsters.
Exploring the nearby cave is optional. There you will find the lair of the albino Wyyyschokk spider mini-boss. To continue the main mission, go to the right (picture above). Here you can run along the wall. Then you must use force to stop the spinning mechanism and run on it too.
Run along the next wall and grab the climbing wall located under the room with stormtroopers. Hang and move to the left. Climb up and get rid of opponents. You will find yourself next to a large working machine. Use force to slow it down - this creates a hole you can jump through (picture above).
Climb another wall and get to the meditation place. Walk along the beam, climb up and attack new enemies. This is a good place to push some of them down the abyss. Use this strategy to eliminate an "elite" Cleansing Marine (an enemy with a purple-tipped staff). The elevator is unfortunately temporarily out of service - you must use the side entrance.
Boss Fight - Security Droid
There is a terminal at the end of the corridor - the protagonist finds several Wookiee prisoners. Interact with the terminal - this will trigger a boss fight with the guard droid. This is, fortunately, one of the easiest bosses in the game:
- The droid is very slow and you can easily find an opportunity to damage it after dodging its attacks.
- You can either parry or avoid the droid's regular attacks. The boss also has stronger red attacks (example in the picture above) - roll to the side to avoid being grabbed (Cal will take more damage).
Freeing the rest of the Wookiees
Continue reconnaissance of the object. Get to the climbing wall on the opposite side. Grab it and move to the right. Then you must climb to the top. Go straight. You will encounter several stormtroopers. Try to deflect their projectiles and throw them into the tank using the push force.
In this location, there is a puzzle with a rotating mechanism. Take BD-1 to the panel shown in the picture and use Overcharge on it.
Approach the spinning mechanism and use the deceleration force when it is in a position that allows you to run straight (picture above).
Turn left and jump on the platforms above the poison tank.
The rotating mechanism is reached in the same place, but you start from a different place. Use the deceleration force on the mechanism when the platform is placed in a straight line.
Approach the wall and jump to the bars on the cages containing the Wookiees. Move to the hole on the right - see the picture. Go through it to solve the puzzle.
In the new corridor, use force, click on the barricade and defeat the stormtrooper. Other enemies are in the left room. Defeat the stormtroopers first, then deal with the new guard droid. Fortunately, it has the same attacks as the previous droid of the same type. After winning the fight, use the terminal to free the Wookiees.
Rooftop meeting with So Guerrera
Enter the small elevator in the same room and wait for it to take you to another floor. In the new room, have BD-1 connect to the panel and use Overcharge (picture above).
You can return to the previously visited place with a large elevator. Eliminate the stormtroopers (remember that you can push them into the abyss) and use the large elevator to get to the roof.
Time for a bigger fight:
- Not all opponents are on the roof from the very beginning of the battle. Some will appear on the battlefield later.
- Remember to eliminate Stormtroopers first because they die quickly. Watch out for flamethrowers - Attack them when they are busy fighting someone else or when they are reloading their weapons.
- Security droids will also fight. Don't forget to fix the camera on the droid you want to attack. You also have to deal with them one by one.
- AT-ST will appear in the last phase. You can use the same moves as during the previous confrontation - deflect his attacks (blasters, grenades, rockets) and/or attack his lower limbs with your lightsaber.
After winning the battle, find a new terminal to use the BD-1 Reload. This will activate a large elevator moving towards the landing pad where you started exploring the planet. Use it - for now, you have completed Kashyyyk. Back at the landing pad, board the Mantis Stinger and leave the planet.
