How to open a chest with Norn runes?
Nornir chests are one of the categories of collectibles found in every world. To open the chest you need to destroy 3 runestoneslocated in the chest area.
Each chest of Nornir contains either the Idunn apple or Blood honey horns. With these items, you can increase your maximum health or spartan rage points.
The runes you must destroy to open the chest are always there. Sometimes they can be hidden behind some kind of obstacle, such as a geyser or grate.
Nornir chests are divided into several types, each requiring a different weapon to destroy or activate them. Your companion will tell you what to use to destroy the runes when you discover a new type of chest, or explain that you don't have the tool you need yet.
Seals
Nornir Chests with Common Runestonsare most likely the first type you will encounter in the game. To open the chest break the seal any weapon.
When you find the seal, hit the stone with Leviathan's axe, Blades of Chaos, shield, or even fists. If the Runeston is out of your reach, throw a Leviathan Ax at it.
Spinning runes

One of the rune bells in Alfheim is hidden behind a grille. Bounce the ax off the crystal to activate the bell.
Some bells will hang right next to Nornir's chest, while others may be hidden behind obstacles or require additional steps to raise them. Find all 3 bells first and only then decide which rune to start with.
Torch
Nornir Chests with runes on torches- another type of this find. You must find each of the 3 torches and set them on fire.
To light the torches, use the Blades of Chaos. If other torches are out of your reach, check if there is a detonating object nearby, such as a red container.
Draupnir Spear
Some chests of Nornir protected by stronger runes. Using a Leviathan Ax or Blades of Chaos on them will not make a dent.
To overcome this hurdle, you will need Draupnir's Spear.
