Complete walkthrough of the mission Border

The fifth mission in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign takes place on the US-Mexico border. This is the first time players are introduced to two new characters - Alejandro Vargas и Rodolfowho are members of the Mexican Special Forces, where you will play as Rodolfo.

The mission begins with Laswell informing Alejandro about an Iranian terrorist being assisted across the U.S.-Mexico border by members of the Las Almas cartel.

The mission starts on the river bank near the border. You and Alejandro will move through the forest until you reach an opening. From there, you will see several cartel members and the US-Mexico border. Eliminate them and cross the border into the United States by climbing the stairs.

Follow Alejandro through the next sequence as he takes you through the area near the border. Be careful as there are civilians in the area and shooting them will cause the mission to fail. You can point your gun at them so they are not a nuisance.

When you cross the street and enter the complex that Alejandro leads you to, he will ask you to help him lift the garage door. Once you are inside the house, the villager will try to attack you. Point the gun at him to defuse the situation.

Move around the house and as soon as you get out you will find an alley. Follow this path to the left as the right path will be closed. The cartel truck will try to ram you as you move forward. Luckily, the van will be parked on the right where you can take cover. Remove the remaining cartel members in the area.

Once the area is safe, follow Alejandro to help clear the way forward. You will now enter a house with civilians. Keep your weapon focused on the two people right in front of you. They will try to attack you if you don't have a weapon pointed at them.

Now get out of the house onto the road. Local police officers will approach you and try to detain you both. While Alejandro and the chief of police are talking, a rocket approaches, killing the policemen and slightly injuring Alejandro and Rodolphe.

You will be attacked from a nearby house and see cartel members approaching you for close combat. After eliminating them, players can pick up from the ground Kastov 762 or Kastov 74u and easily continue the fight.

After clearing the street, continue indoors. Destroy all enemies on the first floor and go deeper. Open all the doors and eliminate the hiding enemies. A cutscene will play as you approach the last door on the right.

You will be attacked by cartel members and get a first look at the Iranian terrorist Ghassan. He will then proceed to burn down the house with you in it. However, Alejandro comes up at the last minute and saves you.

How to complete Frontier on Realistic difficulty

Shoot the headlights of the truck

After leaving the first house, you will need to head down the path where you will meet the cartel members on 2 pickup trucks. The 1st pickup will just drive past you, but 2nd will have members shooting at you.

The truck's headlights can reduce your line of sight, and while you can pre-aim and fire over the truck, chances are you won't kill them. Turning off the lights can greatly help your chances, as you can get a better look at the cartel members.

Alternative aiming between two men

In the second house you will find 3 civilians, Alejandro will talk to the woman and follow her into one room, leaving you with 2 others. During this time make sure your pistol is aimed at the two muchin alternately to keep them at bay. Be sure to pay attention and alternate them as they will slowly try to reach the firearm.

During this time, they are interrogated by Rodolfo and they end up giving up Gassan's location. Alejandro will leave the room to remove the shotgun on the wall and take the man's gun and you can stop pointing your gun at them.

Fight for police cars

After you are mistaken for cartel members by the police, an RPG will be fired from a house across the street. At this point, the cartel members will be heading your way. You will be able to get a gun and kill one of the cartel members, but that's not all.

Pick up Cast 762 in front of you and use police cars as cover when you fight them. Wait behind the car and shoot them when they arrive.

Use Flashbang to go up the stairs

In the last house there will be a flashbang on the table. Pick it up and use it on the stairs as there will be a cartel member on the 2nd floor. This reduces any unnecessary peeking and allows you to shoot him when he gets disoriented.
