Hearthstone: Description of the Descent of Dragons Update

The situation in the skies over Dragonblight is heating up as the League of E.V.I.L. seeks to resurrect the dragon progenitor Galakrond and use his great power to wreak havoc and destruction and bring their sinister designs to life. Descent of Dragons is coming out on December 10th

Galakrond

5 new Galakrond legendary hero cards have been added to the game, allowing you to transform into Galakrond - 1 for each of the League of EVIL hero classes: rogue, warrior, warlock, shaman and priest. During the game, Galakrond can be empowered three times, doubling the power of his battlecry each time. In addition, after the last upgrade, Galakrond returns to his true form and receives a 5/2 weapon!

New Perk: Invocation

The invocation mechanic plays a key role in unlocking Galakrond's true potential. When you play a card with the Invocation modifier, you will receive a special bonus depending on your class, wherever Galakrond is currently located. After two invocations, he takes on the appearance of "Galakrond the Apocalyptic". If you call on him twice more after that, he will assume his most powerful form - "Galakrond, Azeroth's Bane".

Side missions

While the forces of EVIL call on Galakrond, the champions of good can take on side missions to gain an advantage. Unlike Legendary Quests, which typically require decking in a specific way, Side Quests are easier to complete and reward rewards for a variety of playstyles. Another key difference between side missions and legendary ones is that you can add two copies of them to decks.

Legendary dragons

Aspects of dragons will manifest themselves in the game in an unprecedented way! You will also meet with powerful new proto-dragons and the candle creation of Whirlwind - "Voskozhut"! A total of 10 new legendary dragons will enter the fray, one for each class, as well as one neutral Queen Alexstrasza card. Each class dragon will also have its own unique breath - these cards are greatly enhanced if you have a dragon in your hand. So don't forget to keep your friends nearby and your dragons even closer!

Kronx Dragonhoof

Kronx Dragonhoof, the herald of Galakrond, can provide you with a serious advantage whether Galakrond is on the battlefield or in the deck. Use the Kronx to bring a fully empowered Galakrond onto the board. And if you've already changed your hero to Galakrond, Kronx will let you turn the tide of the duel with one of four Devastation options!

The final battle of the Year of the Dragon story adventure series, Galakrond's Awakening, will launch in-game next January! We do not want to reveal the details of the plot ahead of time, but we hope that you are ready to fight EVIL (or good) and get 35 new maps! Advanced statistics version 1

The advanced statistics feature is now available to players who own 10 or more Descent of Dragons card packs. The statistics will take into account the data of past games in which the player has participated since November 5th. The detailed statistics menu can be accessed by pressing the Advanced button on the Battlegrounds mode screen. In future updates, we plan to expand the feature set and introduce new statistics options!

Performance note

In the latest update, players using low-performance devices may experience a slowdown in game performance. We will continue to work on improving the performance and optimization of the Battlegrounds mode in Hearthstone. Details on this will be coming soon!

New in-game store

We've redesigned the Hearthstone in-game store to make it easier to navigate and improve the user experience. The changes will take effect in all regions on December 9-10. Improvements and fixes

• Echo
  • Copies of cards with the Echo modifier can no longer cost less than 1 mana. The following cards can be disenchanted at full cost until December 19:
    • "KLNK-KL4K" (regular version only),
    • "Glinda Crowskin" (regular and gold),
    • Ringing the Bell (Common and Gold).
  • Developer comment: This change affects a hugely popular Wild deck that uses a combination of KLNK-KL4K and the Echo mechanic to create incredibly powerful creatures or deal nearly unlimited damage. The change is intended to eliminate this technique without affecting the general use of cards with the echo property. Since Glinda Crowskin, KLNK-KL4K, and Striking the Bell were all used to create free copies, we've decided to refund players their full cost.
• Zephrys the Great Upgrades
  • Fixed an issue that caused creatures that had both Stealth and Taunt (such as Wardruid Loti) to be incorrectly counted.
  • Fixed a bug that sometimes suggested weapons as a means of dealing with stealth creatures.
  • Druid cards with the "Choose One" modifier are now treated as cards with a modifier that allows both effects.
  • Fixed an issue where Starfall was sometimes suggested as a means to eliminate a single creature.
  • Fixed a bug where as a means of eliminating targets that had 1 remaining power. health from Shrink Ray or Equality, Earth Shock was suggested.

• Fixed an issue where taking fatigue damage would incorrectly extend the current turn.
• Dark Reflections created by Valeera Wither now function correctly after being reset and recreated by Soul Jailer.
• Fixed a bug that caused Druid Shapeshifting Druid Class Creatures to have "Last Known Cost in Hand" as XNUMX, causing them to trigger the Torch of Dark Light modifier when played. Changed Druid cards now retain their original cost.
• Buffing an in-deck C'Thun (but not through rituals) now counts towards the effects condition "If your C'Thun's attack is greater than or equal to 10".
• Fixed an issue with the Overseer in Karazhan Party where Rush minions were not targeting the enemy hero's Taunt when targeting.
• Fixed a bug that caused the client to not take into account cards that read variable values, rather than indicators in card text, when determining spell damage. The damage itself was calculated correctly, however, there was no graphical display of the damage dealt from spells.
• Cards that turn an opponent into a random minion that costs (1) more or less (Evolve, Involve) now always turn into a new copy of the creature, even if no creature with that cost exists.
  • For example, using Involute on Target Dummy will give you a minion for (0) mana, as there is no minion with a negative cost.
  • When you use Evolve on Shirvalla, the Tiger Loa, you will get Shirvalla, since there is no creature for 26 mana.
