Faro's Tomb Walkthrough Horizon Forbidden West

Now we need to get to the west coast, the ruins of San Francisco, to meet with Alva and start searching for the Omega clearance we need in our quest to subdue HEPHESTUS. As always, scan, engage, or ignore any machines you come across, and in the presence of the Longnecks, we suggest redefining them to clear the fog from the Forbidden West. On the way to San Francisco, we will also get a second objective: to go to the Land of Fall, but this is not needed to complete the quest. We can just head straight for Alva.

In the location, enter the destroyed building and you will immediately get the next objective.

Exit the building and take the boat to get to San Francisco. After reaching the shore, go to the waypoint as shown in the screenshot below. We suggest taking a short detour to get around the nearby Longneck to reveal more of the area's map. At this location, you will automatically be met by some Quen soldiers and the tribe. We are told, however, that the way to the mysteries of Faro in Thebes is currently closed. Travel to Thebes and as you approach the gate, Thunderjaw will appear.

Thunderjaw is a heavy machine whose only weakness is Acid. It is impervious to any other element, reducing your damage output. However, it has a lot of detachable components, giving you plenty of targets when scanning it. It has a few weak spots, most of which require you to remove other parts first in order to access them. First, give preference to his machine gun. This is his favorite weapon. Don't forget to pick it up after.

Now you can safely enter Thebes. After the gate opens, enter to speak with Alva, who is waiting for you right at the entrance. When Tseo and Bohai join you, you are ready to descend to reach the door to Thebes, but we still need to find a way to enter from our side. Jump into the water and dive down.

Start swimming in the only possible direction. Continue swimming past the giant underwater lava room and aim for the blue light. When you swim towards it, you will get the next target. There is a broken pipe that allows us to swim forward.

Continue sailing along the main path. There is only one way forward here, so you can't get lost. When you get to a giant pipe with turbine fans at both ends, aim for the blue-lit turbine and swim when it stops. Then swim down and to the left to enter another opening. We need to find a way to stop the turbines. Enter the next room and interact with the console to disable the turbines.

Swim through the window next to the console and swim through the turbine you just stopped. Then swim down and to the right to find another opening you can swim through. Finally, float up. We are now on the other side. First, open the door and enter a room that looks like a living room.

There are a few supply crates here if you want to stock up on materials. When you're ready, keep following the waypoints until you reach the bunker (the area with the giant triangle-shaped door). Approach the main console to activate the door at the top of the star. Now you will be reunited with the others and you will be asked to put on some... unusual outfit.

It's time to resume our search for the Omega clearance we need. Approach and open the door at the end of the bunker. You should now see the imposing statue of Faro in front of you. Then go right and open the next door and finally go downstairs behind another door. However, you will be ambushed by two Infectors.

First of all, scan the machines to add them to the database. The main weakness of the Corruptor is Fire, so of course this element should be given priority. It has one internal weak spot and not many removable components, so this fight will be heavily fire oriented and don't forget about their machine guns.

Once the ambush is cleared, head to the door to open it and continue. Open two more doors and you will find yourself in some kind of throne room. Start running towards the opposite end of the room and you will get your next objective. The CEO asks us to scan the device, so we have to.

After another "instructive" moment from the fanatical CEO, let's continue our quest for Omega clearance. Come and open the door with the bodyguards, but soon our path will be blocked and we need to find another entrance. There is a hatch in one of the walls that we can open. Pull up to him and Aloy will automatically crouch. Then drop down.

We can finally restore what we're here for: Ted Faro's Omega clearance. Approach the console and interact with it. However, problems are brewing.

Zeo turns to us and asks his bodyguards not to leave any witnesses. We need to get rid of them in order to survive. Strategy doesn't really matter here, as the room slowly fills up with lava. As soon as the bodyguards are finished, we need to flee Thebes for safety. Run through rooms and ignore everything and everyone in your path, hacking doors when necessary and avoiding lava. After a pleasant moment, we are ready to continue our escape. Jump over the rocks in the lava to reach the opposite door and keep running past the lava and the guards.

Watch out for cracks if the bridges collapse. Bohai awaits you at the exit and grants Aloy unlimited access to Landfall. Alva also joins the Base.
