FIFA 21 Icons: All Legend Cards Ultimate Team
EA SPORTS' development for FIFA 21 is in full swing and we've got the full roster of Icon players coming to Ultimate Team in the new game right here.
Every year as we FIFA fans gear up for a new game, there's a lot to look forward to. We'll have new features, new game modes, and even new changes to Ultimate Team, including a new batch of Icon players to unlock.
Ahead of the big reveal of EA SPORTS Icon 100 on August 10th, they've begun revealing some of the legendary players who will be some of the most requested cards in FIFA 21's popular team building mode.
EA has already confirmed that 100 ICONS will be available in the next title, sparking speculation about which stars from the past will be included. Previously we made our own list of who we thought might show up , and now the official data has finally begun to emerge.
What makes Icons different from any other league or category in Ultimate Team is that literally any legendary football player from any country on earth has a chance to be included if deemed worthy enough. We expect FIFA 21 badges to follow the same pattern as in previous years, moving from basic to medium to basic and finally Prime Moments cards as the most powerful and valuable.
As always, fans will look forward to the ICON 100 drop to see the full roster of players and whether or not their favorite football star is included. However, without further ado, here are the ones that EA has already unveiled ahead of the August 10th event.
FIFA 21 Icon Players
Eric Cantona
The Manchester United star was the first new icon to be announced for FIFA 21. During his storied career for the Red Devils, he made 143 appearances and was even named by Pele in the list of the 100 greatest living players in the world of FIFA.
With such an impressive pedigree, we definitely expect Icon Cantona's cards to have relevant stats, whether you're only getting Base or lucky enough to pick up his Prime Moments, which has a lot of material to choose from.
Petr Cech
Next comes the legendary goalkeeper Petr Cech, who 9 of August has been officially announced as the second Icon of FIFA 21. The Czech, who retired at the end of the 2019 season and returned to Chelsea as a technical and performance advisor, joins legendary goalkeepers such as Lev Yashin, Peter Schmeichel, Edwin van der Sar and former rival Jens Lehmann as the new icons.
It is not yet known what his ratings might be. They're sure to arrive when EA unveils a full set of new icons on August 10th.
Xavi
Shortly after the introduction of Petr Cech's Icon card, Xavi will also join the top echelons of Ultimate Team in FIFA 21. One of Barcelona's most successful players with 505 appearances for the club now manages Qatari side Al Sadd in the Qatar Stars League.
As with other icons, Xavi's official stats are yet to be revealed, but it didn't take long for FIFA fans to start poking fun at the midfielder, with some jokingly suggesting that his Pace would only be in the 70s at best, even as one of the Ultimate Team's Most Valuable Cards.
Leaked the following ICON hints
Give the FIFA community the opportunity to figure out leaks of upcoming content before it's revealed, and it doesn't seem to be any different from the current crop of Icon cards.
According to @fifautita on Twitter, there are two new German icons and one new English one yet to be revealed, but we will be updating this page as each new player releases, so be sure to check this story for updates as they become available.
So, who else do you think we'll see in the ranks of Icon in FIFA 21?
