Indiana Jones 5: Harrison Ford first look and release date

Lucasfilm has revealed a first look at Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones 5, as well as a release date for the long-awaited sequel to the adventure.
It's been more than 40 years since Ford's whip-wielding Nazi-bashing archaeologist first became a cinematic icon in Finding the Lost Ark. He was last seen in 2008 in crystal skull, which was derided (and mostly rejected) by fans.
While Steven Spielberg helmed the last four entries, this time he returned to the role of producer. This is also the first episode in the franchise that does not have any story input from George Lucas. Instead, Indiana Jones will be directed by a director Ford vs Ferrari, Logan и step over the line James Mangold.
Over the past two years, the film has experienced huge, persistent setbacks, whether it be script rewrites, injuries, or global restrictions. Now Lucasfilm has revealed two things: the actual release date, which will hopefully no longer be delayed; and a look at Ford flaunting his trusty fedora.
First look at Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones 5
Fans got their first look at Indiana Jones 5 during the Star Wars celebration. The image, which showed Ford's silhouette against a backdrop of golden light, was revealed as John Williams' buzzing tune was played on stage. Williams also returned to infuse the film with sound content.
Ford attended the event for the occasion, telling the crowd that he was "very proud of the film we made".
It is a special honor for me to congratulate John on his 90th birthday. Another time I told John that we have the opportunity to be together and that music follows me everywhere I go. And you know what, I'm glad about it"

Indiana Jones 5 release date revealed
The film finally completed filming in February. Shortly after the image was posted at Star Wars Celebration, Indiana Jones' official Twitter account confirmed that the sequel was set to release on June 30, 2023.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge will star alongside Ford, as well as Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Shonette Renee Wilson and Boyd Holbrook.
Plot details remain under wraps. In an earlier interview The Hollywood Reporter Mikkelsen praised Mangold, saying, "It felt like a Spielberg film, although apparently James does it with the same vision.
“It’s just soaked in that golden period of the 1940s TV series – and that’s in the fifth movie. They pretty much go back to the first and second movie and get that original feel, the original Indie, something dense and epic."
