Developers Blackmill Games and M2H have announced their newest game: Isonzo, a first-person shooter set in a rather unique part of the world.
The developers of M2H and Blackmill Games have announced a new game called Soca . According to them, the game is a first-person shooter with a rather unique setting and storyline.
Soca is a continuation of the popular series of games WWI by M2H and Blackmill Games. The series includes popular game Verdun 2015 and its sequel tannenberg . Verdun Action takes place on the Western Front of the First World War, and in Tannenberg - on the Eastern Front.
Isonzo action will take place on the Italian front of the war. Like its predecessors, the game will be incredibly realistic and detailed, based on careful study of the period. M2H co-founder Matt Hergaarden said that “The Italian front was a great opportunity for us to raise World War I game series both figuratively and literally.
According to Hergaarden, the new mountain-based gameplay in Soca should enable new game mechanics for the series. It will also allow the developers to introduce an Italian army that has not been seen before in the series and take on the Austro-Hungarian army.
The developers further elaborated that “combat takes place among the picturesque peaks, rocky valleys and idyllic cities of northern Italy. The all-new Offensive game mode places players right in the midst of key historic offensives on the Italian front, from high-altitude combat in the Alps to the fierce battles of the Isonzo River."
