ICE STORM CHALLENGE - DATE, QUESTS, REWARDS
PASSING THE ICE STORM TESTS HERE!
The Fortnite Ice Storm event is coming up soon, so we're putting together a guide that will contain all the information you need to complete this upcoming challenge! We will present you with a complete list of Ice Storm quests, as well as all the rewards that you can earn.
There is not much information yet and all of it is based on leaks.
ICE STORM EVENTS
From what we've been able to figure out, it looks like the Lord of Ice will destroy the island of Fortnite. The ball has appeared above the Polar Peak, and eventually it turns out that the Ice King will manifest inside it and begin to cast some kind of spell. At the end of the enchantment, it is likely that snow and ice will cover the entire map. Here are some leaked in-game footage that shows what it will look like in the near future:
If you look closely, then the Lord seems to be stirring up something with a piece of the Cube, which until recently was located in the very center of the Fortnite map!
As you can see in the images, the Lord of Ice sits on his throne, similar to the Lich King from World of Warcraft. He then heads to the top of his castle on Pole Peak and begins to cast some ancient spell that seems to envelop the entire island in snow and ice. Most likely, this will not end with the mere presence of snow, the spell can raise snow monsters that will flood the island. Perhaps they will be similar to those that were bred during Fortnitemares.
ICE STORM EVENT LAUNCH DATE
A release date for the Ice Storm Challenges event is currently unknown. We will update this information as soon as we have an idea of the arrival of this new event.
ICE STORM MISSION LIST
We don't currently know exactly what the challenges will be, but we've received this leak which reveals that you'll need to complete 13 of them in order to receive the final reward.
- Complete Ice Storm Challenges
- Deals damage to Ice Legion
- Deal damage to the Ice Legion in a single match
- Damage Ice Legion with explosive weapons
- Deal damage to Assault Rifles or Pistols to the Frost Legion
- Deal damage with shotguns or SMGs to the Ice Legion
- Destroy an Ice Shard in different matches.
- Deal damage to the glacier
- Deal damage to a glacier in a single match
- Damage the glacier with an explosive weapon
- Deal damage to the glacier with rifles or pistols
- Damage the Glacier with Shotguns or SMGs
ICE STORM REWARDS & EQUIPMENT
As far as we know right now, you will definitely be able to get two cosmetic rewards. It's a Blue Metallic wrap and a Winter's Thorn sled.
There is another leak, but no idea what event it belongs to! It's an Icebringer pickaxe. We're not sure if it will be part of the event because after release it could become part of The Ice Queen skin. See you soon!.
