Fortnite Nightmares 2020 Challenges Walkthrough Guide

Fortnite Nightmares 2020 has finally arrived in the run-up to Halloween, and along with that, you'll have a few challenges to complete that will earn you free cosmetics that you can use! If you're not into V-Bucks, this is a good way to get some Halloween items you can wear to get into the spirit of the season!

Patch 14.40 brings a bunch of new things to the map and to the game, which means there's a lot to check out, including some new challenges to complete.

Fortnitemares 2020 Challenge List

➤Become a shadow (3)
Fly 100 meters on a witch's broom (100)
➤Eat sweets (25)
➤Damage possessed vehicles
➤Detect players as shadow
➤Elimination of Shadow Midas
➤ Eliminate shadows as a player
➤Visit different witch huts
➤Pick up legendary loot as a shadow

The first three challenges were released immediately after the release of the patch. Three additional trials will be available 3 days after release, with the final three available 6 days later.

Becoming a Shadow will be a really easy task, because all you have to do is destroy! Every time you are eliminated from a Battle Royale round, you become a Shadow. You float in the air, respawn and can return to the map as a kind of ghost. You have new abilities and you can participate in the game. If you can kill all the live players, you will win the Nitemare Royale!

If you're looking for a witch's broom, you can find a witch's hut northwest of Lonely Lake. This area will have barrels with a broom inside. This is a mythical item that will lift you into the air and allow you to float. If you've used the Silver Surfer board in the game, it works pretty much the same way. After you land the broom, you will have to wait 20 seconds before you can use it again. To pass the 100m challenge, try using it from a height so you can glide farther in one go!

If you are looking for sweets, you can find them almost anywhere on the map. There will be buckets on the ground, and in front of houses on tables like this one in Lonely Lake:

There you can find many different types of sweets, here is a list of some of them:

Peppermint
hop sprouts
Sweet popcorn
Jelly Bean
Thermal Iris

Once you get the candy, just pop it in your mouth as fast as you can to complete the challenge!
