Xiphos’ Moonlight - Sword of Genshin Impact

Xiphos’ Moonlight - 4★ one-handed weapon Genshin Impact.

"Description"

“An ancient double-edged sword that sparkles with moonlight. They say that a silent genie lives in it.

This story took place thousands of years ago, in the era after the burial of the foolish King of the Gods under sandstorms.
Of the cities of mortals scattered throughout the earth, in which wise men and women gathered and lived, Tulaythulla was the most prominent.
The city was filled with buildings covered with sapphire domes and decorated with emerald gardens with flowering trees and babbling fountains.
In the times following the departure of the King of the Gods, this happy city still shone with wisdom and prosperity.

It is said that once in this city of sapphires and emeralds lived a warrior named Xiphos.
Xiphos was skilled with a double-edged sword, and he saved many girls from monster attacks and found many treasures.
According to ancient Tignari legends, a cruel genie was imprisoned in his sword.
Thanks to this, the blade did not become dull, but only sharpened from bloodshed, and did not get dirty, but brightened from blood.

“Master, let me enjoy rose juice, treat me to raspberry wine.
I am attached only to you, as the daughter of the vines entertains drunkards with her bloody sacrifice.
As long as you own my love and the moon shines on your forever young face...
As long as your enemies have affection for this world and have not forgotten the names of their mothers, you will be an unsurpassed warrior."

Later, a swordsman beloved by a moonlight genie encountered an exiled outlander.
The wanderer accepted silver coins as a bloody payment from the enemy kings and shouldered their grievances and hatred for the hero.
They who should have been friends in a feast became enemies in battle, fighting each other to the death in the moonlight.
In battle, their blades were bathed in ruby wine, and an overripe pomegranate burst, and live, bright red juice poured from the gap ...
The death duel is finally over. The pale moon shone listlessly on both the winner and the vanquished.

“No matter which way the wind blows, there are never ripples on the water surface in the cup of life.
"Three departed goddesses have long sealed the fate of the heroes, even if they never realized it themselves."

The Stranger took the sword illuminated by the moon, picked up the bloody silver coins and silently walked towards the distant tropical forest.
Deprived of the protection of Xiphos, the city lost its luster and withered in a short time.
His houses and gardens were razed to the ground along with his fate, and then the howling desert winds consigned him to oblivion.
Ultimately, the Black Key and the young prince's desire to rejuvenate his kingdom were drowned in the embrace of sand...

To whom does

Xiphos's Moonlight Passive provides a useful, but activation-intensive, team buff. The decision to use this sword depends on the alternatives available, however, in most cases, the additional gain from interacting with the passive is not a sufficient reason to choose this weapon. The character needs to benefit from Elemental Mastery substats.

Energy issues are better dealt with with the Favonius and the Ceremonial Sword, and for increased damage from Elemental Mastery, there is a more affordable option - the Steel Sting with a passive damage bonus. Moonlight of Xiphos is a compromise choice, useful only in certain situations.

For Vapor and Melt, Xiphos' Moonlight might work, but is inferior to Attack-boosting swords, so we don't recommend it for Keii or Ayato. Even during Budding with Nilu, Xiphos is a weak option for Xing Qiu, as the writer does too much damage with his element to sacrifice it for Elemental Mastery. The extra Energy gained from Xiphos's passive is not enough for Xing Qiu.

Xiphos's passive pairs well with Kazuha's character as it focuses entirely or partly on Elemental Mastery. Xiphos is generally preferable to Favonius and Steel Sting, as teams don't always require the amount of Energy that Favonius provides, and for Kazuha as a support, the additional personal damage from Steel Sting is not as important as the team buff from Xiphos.

Xiphos is best used on Shinobu in Dendro Reaction teams due to the team buff. It is up to you to decide whether or not to spend resources on promoting a weapon banner for the sake of this difference.

For Ke Qing, Xiphos can be a good weapon for Elemental Mastery in units that use Catalysis, and for a Main Hero with a Dendro element, it can be useful both in normal battles and during Budding.

If you don't have a sword with Nile's Predictive Reliability passive, then Xiphos Moonglow with Awakenings activated can be a good alternative as it provides a team buff in the form of additional EP Energy. However, it should be remembered that the priority is still to provide enough HP for Neela.
