Halo Infinite crash fix and FPS improvement on PC
If you play Halo Infinite on PC and are one of the many who are having issues with the game crashing, then you've come to the right place.
Thanks to "_AustinLCG" on Twitter, there is a fix for players constantly crashing in the new Halo game.
Here is a step by step guide to disable these textures and prevent crashes:
- Open Steam.
- Right-click Halo Infinite and select Properties.
- Locate the DLC tab and uncheck "High-Resolution Multiplayer Textures".
- Restart the game and you're done.
Austin found that "high rest multiplayer textures" were unnecessary and only added to the load on your computer. After completing all these steps, you will notice that your game no longer crashes randomly during matches.
It will also improve the FPS your game is running on. If you are still looking for ways to increase this, you need to set the minimum and maximum FPS. According to video on YouTube by EposVox, if you set the minimum value to 60 and the maximum value to 120, you will get more frames than if you use it without limit.
Although the video is geared towards game streams, it also works for casual gamers.
