How has the ranking of League of Legends players changed over the past year?

League of Legends is one of the most popular esports disciplines, where the struggle for leading positions in the world rankings is always unpredictable. True, in recent years, only Asians have achieved some success, which indicates the imperfection of the current system of regional qualifying competitions. Certainly, lol player rating partially changed when compared with some previous versions, but the dominance of the Koreans and the Chinese still remains obvious. Probably, the level of individual skill of the Asians is so high that they do not feel any pressure when playing with the Europeans.

What do the best LOL players remember in 2021?

Unfortunately, there are not many global tournaments in League of Legends where representatives of different countries can compete with each other, so the official ranking of the best players is usually compiled based on the results demonstrated in the World Championship. If we talk about the individual skill of individual performers, then the following stars should be an example for colleagues in the shop:

  • Tarzan (South Korea). The recognized leader of the LNG team, who single-handedly pulled his team to the decisive stages in many tournaments. Tarzan has almost the highest performance in the world championship - 73% of kills in face-to-face duels. This is a very solid indicator, because it is always difficult to demonstrate the full potential without relying on the support of teammates. True, the Korean has a fairly diverse pool of heroes, so he can act based on the weaknesses of his opponents;
  • Faker (South Korea). The ranking of the best players in the world would be incomplete without the current champion title holder. Still, Faker made a significant contribution to the team's success, although he closed an extremely important position. In fact, he had no right to make a mistake, but he did an excellent job with his individual skill. There are few such strong players on the professional scene now, so it is difficult to overestimate Faker;
  • Xiaohu (China). Changing roles during the season is quite difficult, but for the sake of the interests of the team, you can take some risks. Probably, Xiaohu acted exactly according to this principle when he took the center line in one of the winning tournaments. As a result, such a strategy brought a positive result, but this is only a pleasant exception to the rule, and not a pattern. The decisive role was played by the talent of the Chinese, because few people will be able to perform different roles, giving their team space to maneuver;
  • Scout (South Korea). This master has proven himself from the best side for a long time. The Korean is able to outplay any opponent 1 in 1 when he gets in shape, but he frankly lacks stability. Scout has his ups and downs, but 2021 could be his asset. Several MVP (Most Valuable Player) awards speak volumes, but Scout's personal success is not always intertwined with team achievements;
  • showmaker (South Korea). By itself, the player's nickname is indicative, since the Korean really loves and knows how to make a show. It just so happened that any team (to a greater or lesser extent) is dependent on the potential of the performer occupying the center line on the map. This is understandable, because the control of an important zone allows you to gain a territorial advantage. In relatively equal confrontations, even such an advantage is considered significant, which is why ShowMaker often makes the difference. He clearly stands out from other players and definitely deserves star status. The leader of the DWG KIA team has already won more than 200 fights at the professional level. For most esportsmen, this mark is a benchmark, but they are unlikely to be able to reach record levels.

All the leaders of the world ranking, which are mentioned above, have left their names in the history of League of Legends forever. Now they only have to pass the test of time to confirm their status on the course. Yet one successful season is no reason to rest on our laurels.
