Switching between Geo and Anemo gives you different elemental skills and elemental explosion skills. You may need them if you do not have a character of a certain element and need to interact or activate an object in the world. All of this makes the Traveler a valuable player, but it's all early in the game until you've acquired other, more powerful characters.
In order for your character to gain Geo-elemental abilities, you need to unlock at least one statue of the Seven Archons in the Li Yue region.
- We select on the world map a teleportation point to the statue of the Seven Archons in Li Yue (they are marked on the map with a large round blue icon).
- We approach the statue and interact with it (press F).
- In the menu that appears, select the "Resonate with Geo" item.
- We wait just a couple of seconds and that's it. Your character has received a Geo-Ability.
How to return the ability of the elements of Anemo to the main character
If you didn't enjoy playing as a Geo-Traveler and want to get your Anemo skills back, you need to return to any statue of the Seven Archons in the Mondstadt region, choosing the desired teleportation point.
Next you should go to the statue, press the key F and select "Resonate with Anemo" from the menu. After that, the Traveler will again become an Anemo Hero.
It is worth noting that the developers promise to add new elements for the main character in the future, but for now we can only use the abilities of the Anemo or Geo elements. By the way, you can change them at any time and without restrictions.
