How to Find and Open New Fortnite Space Chests in Season 18.

The new season of Fortnite has started, and Kevin Cube has appeared on the map. Along with the return of the Artifact, Season 8 will feature Cosmic Chests that expand on the new Fortnite mechanic introduced in the previous season. 

Space chests were introduced back in Season 17 of Fortnite, giving players a new type of chest to find on the map. That season, the players needed to work together to unlock them!

As more chest information becomes available in Chapter 8 Season 2, we'll be posting updates right here.

How to open space chests

In Season 8, we don't yet know if the way they are unlocked has changed. While this type of chest is based on chests already in the game, they were only found in Duos, Squads, and Trios, and were only activated when the entire team was nearby.

Opening the space chest was relatively easy last season, but it took a bit of time:

1. Find space chest with your crew members in tow.
2. Once there, rays of light attach themselves to one or more members of your group.
3. Any player with a beam of light will have to attack one of markers on a crystal.
4. Repeat until the chest opens!

Space chest contents

Obtaining one of these chests and successfully opening it will earn you great rewards that can be used to customize your personal Tuna skin.

According to leading Fortnite HYPEX insider , will drop from space chests new resource called rainbow ink (Rainbow Ink) . Every week from the chest you can collect no more than 250 , which will then go to unlock all skin styles Tuna (Toona Fish).

Not much is currently known about the location of space chests in Fortnite Season XNUMX. However, as more information becomes available, we will update you right here.
