Ghostwire: Tokyo
The game takes place in modern Tokyo. The plot begins at the famous Shibuya pedestrian crossing, when in an instant absolutely all the inhabitants of the city disappear - only the main character named Akito remains. At this moment, the area is enveloped in a mysterious fog that blurs the line between the real and the astral worlds. The hero, cut off from the rest of the world, will have to explore the transformed area and find information about the mysterious disappearance of people, about his relatives and about Hannya, the one responsible for what happened, who hid his face under a mask.

How to clear all torii gates in Ghostwire: Tokyo - Deliverer Achievement

There are 30 torii gates in the game, and these are the main hubs for each region of Ghostwire: Tokyo. Clearing the torii gate will remove the fog in the area, and thus visiting all locations is necessary to reveal the entire map.

The location of all gates is indicated in the screenshot below. Most of them will have to be opened as part of the plot:

В Ghostwire: Tokyo There are 29 Torii gates to clear. Depending on the size of the shrine, you may need to clear several smaller gates scattered over a larger area, or just one in a small space. Many of these Torii Gate locations reward you with Prayer Beads, valuable items that enhance certain abilities or items, such as enhancing fire attacks or the offensive power of your bow.

What's more, Torii gates often have collectibles, not just the surrounding area, available through the removal of the fog. The first few Torii Gates give you items like Katashiro and powers like Fire Weaving.

Many Torii Gates also have Relics hidden in their Shrines or in the immediate area, while Torii Gates have Voice Logs lying around, or some of the CC Investigation Notes hidden around.

And while Torii Gate does not keep a log of all the collectibles in its territory, you can keep track of the number of Jizo statues, Investigation Notes, Tanuki and Magathams that you have already found. You can also see how many spirits you have transferred to a certain area. Finally, the Torii Gate gives you access to fast travel to Ghostwire: Tokyo. Just hover over their icons on the map to find this information and fast travel tips.

Last but not least, you will also receive two trophies or achievements for clearing a Torii Gate: Path Opener to clear your first Torii Gate, and Liberator to clear all Torii Gates.

Visiting and clearing all Torii gates will unlock the trophy Liberator.

Where to Find All Torii Gates and Shrines in Ghostwire: Tokyo

Akisawa Torii Gate Shrine

  • Reward: Katashiro.

This is the first Torii Gate Shrine you clear in Ghostwire: Tokyo. This is part of Chapter 2, Clearing the Fog. It is 102 meters south/southwest of Shibuya Central Hospital, to the right of El Dorados Hotel.

Temple of Namit

  • Reward: Katashiro.

Namita is the second Torii Gate Shrine you clear and is located 152 meters south of Akisawa. It is on top of the beige apartment building when you first learn how to grapple the Tengu. This is part of Chapter 2, A Maze of Death. You can get it a little early, but you have to come here on your way to Shiroyama.

Shiroyama Shrine

  • Reward: Fireworks.

Shiroyama Shrine will be the first large Torii gate complex you clear, with gates guarded by enemies scattered across a large area. This is also the first Torii gate, where you will find an offering box and an Omikuji.

Offer boxes allow you to donate money towards various wishes, such as finding more Jizo or Tanuki statues. Omikuji gives you random buffs for a small fee. Both are linked to other trophies and achievements.

Shiroyama is a landmark of its own and is located 130 meters southeast of Namita Shrine, across the street diagonally southeast of the Tsukinami Restricted Area.

Yashin Sanctuary

  • Reward: Waterworks.

The Yasin Torii Gate Sanctuary can also be found in Chapter 2 "Labyrinth of Death". It is located 126 meters northeast of Shiroyama, at the bottom of a block-wide and block-long construction zone. As has been the case with others so far, this is part of the critical path and requires you to push back the fog in order to move forward.

You will arrive at the area on the top floor of the construction area; just follow the scaffolding down to the very bottom, where you will find a sanctuary in a stone wall between two high retaining walls.

Shrine of Kuo

  • Reward: A stunning talisman.

Kuo Shrine is located 150 meters southeast of Yashin in the Shibuya Kageri Shopping Complex. You will come to this Torii Gate during the Chapter 2 mission Buried Life, when you are tasked with climbing to the top of the complex to find the tourist binoculars.

Sanctuary of Morite

  • Reward: Beads for archery.

Morite Shrine is in the back alley 124 meters north/northwest of Yashin Torii Gate. It is in the city block between 429 Landmark and Shibuya Scramble Crossing Landmark, south of the road that connects them. Look for the smaller red Torii gate on either side of the area to lead you to it near the Nekomata store.

It becomes available after viewing the Tourist Binoculars during the Labyrinth of Death in Chapter 2.

Hirokawa Shrine

  • Reward: Detective Beads 2.

You can see the Hirokawa Torii Gate shrine at the very beginning of the game, but it doesn't become available until the completion of the "Buried Life" mission in Chapter 2. You must clear it as part of The Caves of Steel mission and is the first main objective. Just follow the spiritual trail of QC.

Matsumi Shrine

  • Reward: Archery beads (2).

Like Hirokawa Shrine, you can also see the Matsumi Torii Gate Shrine at the start of the game, but it's locked behind fog. It becomes available after clearing the Hirokawa Shrine and completing Chapter 2. The Matsumi Shrine sits atop a beige brick corner office building 140 meters northeast of Hirokawa. It sits diagonally across from a short gray office building with Hush, Tulitobucks, and Kadami signs.

Utagawa Torii Gate Shopping District

  • Reward: N/A; unlocks more maps.

The Utagawa Torii Gate shopping area will become available during the Blindness Chapter 3 mission, although you will first come to the area during the Pillars of Light. This is part of the critical path and cannot be skipped.

Its location is 444 meters north/northwest of Kuoh Shrine and 117 meters north of Sengokuzaka Landmark.

Utagawa is a Landmark in itself; the area is marked with a large red, white, and black sign at the top of a large set of descending stairs. The area narrows with shops and apartments on either side at the bottom of the stairs, with a Torii gate separating it from an even tighter area of houses.

Yamaka Shrine

  • Reward: Aqua Beads.

Yamaka Shrine becomes available after completing the chapter 3 mission "Blindness". This Torii Gate is part of the Critical Story Path during the Agony mission, and its location is about 115 meters east of Apartment Building C on top of a building across the road east of the Kirigaoka Water Tower landmark.

Kirigaoka Shrine

  • Reward: Fire beads.

Kirigaoka Shrine can be visited after Yamaka Shrine has been cleansed. The Kirigaoka Torii Gate is part of the critical path during the Chapter 3 mission, Agony. Its location is 102 meters northwest of Yamaka, in the north-central part of the map.

Khitani Shrine

  • Reward: Spirit Perception Beads.

The Hitani Shrine looks like it can be accessed after the Blindness mission in Chapter 3, but it actually remains shrouded in mist until you clear Kirigaoka. This location of the Torii Gate is located about 155 meters southwest of Kirigaoka, along the river that separates the northern part of the map from the central one.

It is wedged between a building under construction and a cemetery; behind it is the Kawasemi encampment along the river.

Namihara Shrine

  • Reward: Archery beads (3).

Purifying the Hitani Shrine opens a path through the fog to Namihara Shrine, about 230 meters northwest of Hitani. This location of Torii Gate is at the intersection of a larger two-lane road running roughly north-south with a side street running roughly east-west.

The Torii Gate itself is on the sidewalk of the larger road on the west side, with Byte Print and On shops to its left. Across from him (east) is a pay phone, as well as a white van and a moving truck at the crosswalk. A green compact car is parked outside.

Toyoi Shrine

  • Reward: Aqua Beads (2).

After clearing Namihara Shrine, you can head to Toyoi in the south or Hatsuike Shrine in the north. We decided to go south then back north, but it works anyway.

Despite this, Toyoi's location is 145 meters south of Namihara. It is on a two-lane side street off the main four-lane north-south road from Namihara. The Torii Gate is behind a beige building with an optometry business on the ground floor and diagonally across the street from a gray structure with Koban's business in it. A green taxi is also parked next to the payphone.

Hatsuike Shrine

  • Reward: Gust beads (2).

Hatsuike Shrine is located 100 meters northeast of Namihara, on the roof of a gray brick apartment building across from a gas station to the northwest. Across the road to its west is a beige brick building with four digital signs for Fujiya Mart and Hush, among others. There is also a construction site with a yellow faucet northwest of Torii Gate.

Chisima Shrine

  • Reward: Prosperity beads.

Chisima Shrine becomes accessible starting in chapter 4 and by checking the payphone during the Giants' mission. Its location is 110 meters northeast of Kirigaoka Shrine at the four-way intersection of small streets in the area. The Chisima Torii Gate is across the road to the west/southwest of the park and next to the bike parking area.

Sanctuary of Noto

  • Reward: Incognito beads.

The Noto Shrine becomes available at the start of Chapter 4 along with Chishima, but it's best left for now, as the purification it provides a path to the rest of the Torii Gate in Ghostwire: Tokyo; You don't need to return north for Chisima later.

The Noto Torii Gate is about 110 meters south/southeast of Chisima, on a small road that cuts through the area. It is located between the Fujiya Mart store and a five-story residential complex; A black SUV is parked outside, and across the street is another five-story apartment complex. Two yellow "no parking" signs next to the SUV and three red flags at the steps to the shrine.

Hirajuku building on top of Torii Gate

  • Reward: Power beads.

The Hirajuku Building on the roof of the Torri Gate is located about 85 meters east of Chisima, across the railway overpass. As the name suggests, it is located on the roof of a dark brick building. In front of him is a white dump truck and a police car; This Torii gate is across from Tulitorbucks and there is a gas station about 45 meters south/southeast of the building.

Shiratsuki Shrine

  • Reward: Detective Beads.

Shiratsuki Shrine is located just 50 meters northeast of Hirajuku. Go to the edge of the Hirajuku building facing northeast and look down to see this Torii gate across the road behind the Tulitorbucks and some corruption.

Saihama Building Rooftop Torii Gate

  • Reward: Spirit Perception Beads (2).

The Torii Gate on the roof of the Saihama Building is located 123 meters southwest of Shiratsuki Shrine. Again, as the name suggests, this one is on the roof of a four-story dark and beige brick building.

There is a shop window in front of the store with a green sign on the ground floor and a payphone (not a telephone booth). A green bus and a black car are parked in front of the building, which is adjacent to the Freshmoth Burger restaurant.

Momokane Torii Gate Rooftop Building

  • Reward: Charm beads.

Momokane Rooftop Torii Gate is located 40 meters east of Saihama Torii Gate. Walk to the east-facing edge of Saihama's roof and you'll see a six-story red brick building with a satellite dish and two liquor on top (it's to the right of the gas station at the bottom). The shrine itself is on a slightly shorter building right behind the red brick building.

Tatsuya Shrine

  • Reward: Beads for food (2).

Tatsuya Shrine is your objective in the Chapter 4 Giants mission, but you must clear the Torii Gate of Momokane Shrine before you can reach it. Tatsui is located 62 meters south of Momokane, at ground level. It's a big area with Torii gates glowing blue so it's hard to miss. Plus there is an objective marker ...

Kappagaike Torii Gate

  • Reward: Aqua Beads (3).

The Kappagaike Torii Gate becomes accessible after the Tatsuya Shrine has been cleansed. It is located 142 meters southeast of this temple in the park lake, south of the main east-west highway. It is next to the Kappagaike landmark.

Onten Sanctuary

  • Reward: Detective Beads (3).

Onten Shrine can be cleared after Tatsuya Shrine, but is best left before Kappagaike Torii Gate is cleared, as it is on the way to the last few Torii Gates in Ghostwire: Tokyo.

Onten is located about 146 meters southwest of Kappagaike in a massive city block made up of shops and apartment buildings. This is another shrine that requires you to clear three smaller Torii gates, the main one being on the roof of a set of shops with Freshmoth Burger and Terry's Restaurant.

Mikubo Shrine

  • Reward: Fire beads (2).

Mikubo Shrine is located 140 meters southwest of Onten on Drunkard's Alley. Due to the way the fog sits in the area, you will need to enter Drunken Alley from the north, just south of the main highway overpass. A white van is parked at the front of the alley.

As you enter, defeat the enemies here (there are two XYZ's that can spawn six other enemies). Once you've done that, follow the path left through the alleyway to find this shrine, hidden behind a Torii gate at a dead end.

Shimokus Shrine

  • Reward: Charm beads (2).

Due to the fog, you will need to approach Shimokusa from the Kappagaika Torii Gate, hugging the four-lane roadway that runs along the eastern edge of Kappagaika Park. Shimokusa Shrine itself is located about 290 meters south of the park,

The entrance from the road is on the west side, opposite the green bus. It is marked with a short orange Yebisu Bank badge of about 20 red vertical banners. You will see a glowing Torii Gate at the top of a small staircase.

Sanctuary Camio

  • Reward: Gust beads (3).

Kamio Shrine is located about 160 meters south of Shimokusa (leave Sakano Shrine for the last). When you get closer to the place, you will find it just behind the high overpass; there's a payphone booth and an ambulance carved into the back of the sedan in front of the Torii Gate, which wedged between two high-rise apartment buildings.

Akitsu Shrine

  • Reward: Fire beads (3).

Akitsu Shrine is a little "out of the way" 320 meters southwest of the Torii Gate of Kamio Shrine, but if you refused to follow KK's lead during the Chapter 4 Giant mission, you'll still need to head back north to Sakano from Kamio, so good to get it out of the way.

A Torii gate glows purple atop a six-story corner building with yellow scaffolding, a bike rack, and a white delivery truck in front. It is across the street from Fujiya Mart and a pay phone booth.

Sakano Shrine

  • Reward: Beads for food (3).

Now quickly return to Shimokusa Shrine and walk 111 meters to the northwest; due to the fog, you will have to go south/southwest a bit before you can turn north.

When you get to the Sakano Shrine area, you'll find a large Torii gate at a pedestrian crossing near a pay phone booth. It was at a large intersection with a green taxi crashed into a white moving van; it is diagonally east of a nine-story beige building with a large red Mitsukuro sign.

And these are all the locations of Torii Gate Shrine in Ghostwire: Tokyo. You now have two trophies/achievements to find them, as well as access to all of Tokyo to find relics, investigation notes, and other collectibles.
