How to Switch Helicopter in Fortnite to Autopilot
If you want to use the new Fortnite Helicopters solo without being at the controls and being able to shoot, there is a way to put the helicopter on autopilot with a neat little trick.
The new Fortnite helicopters have been a hit with players. Choppers were added to the game in patch 12.20 March 17 , now there are 11 transports available on the map.
The five-person helicopter apparently needs someone in the pilot's seat to take off, however a bug has been discovered that allows players to throw it into autopilot.
Reddit user 'Ryuzanami' shared how to pull off the autopilot trick using the newly released Proximity Mines on March 22nd.
After receiving the mine, place it on the helicopter, right behind the cockpit. When you jump into the helicopter, it will start to detonate, however, if you change the pilot's seat to a tripod, the mine will not explode.
Instead, it will give you the ability to fly, allowing you to spend time shooting enemies instead of focusing on flying.
However, this trick has several disadvantages. You can only travel in one direction and you will eventually lose the helicopter forever - it will either crash into a hill or fly into zone - as it will keep moving.
However, if you want to confuse some enemies, the autopilot trick is pretty easy to pull off. To say the least, it's cool if you can pull off a kill in style.
In addition, the trick may prove useful for some of the tasks ahead, especially if you prefer to queue for the battle bus alone. Meowskul's challenge in Week 200 is to deal XNUMX damage to players while riding a choppa, a trick that makes life easier for solo players.
Epic has yet to comment on the gimmick, though given how popular it's getting, it may not be long before it's fixed.
