How to defeat the Leonine Misbegotten boss in Elden Ring
Like many of the other bosses you will face in Elden Ring, Leonine Misbegotten will be extremely aggressive from the start until she gets hit head-on. To knock him down from the start we recommend that you summon wolves when entering through the gate, as they will work wonders not only to distract the enemy's gaze from you, but also to constantly attack the Bastard, which can be especially useful in combination with Edgar's attacks, holding Leonin vulnerable for a long period of time.
MELEE USERS
This boss is extremely aggressive and attacks quickly with high devastating horizontal strikes mostly. Blocking is difficult, even with a good shield, unless you use Ashes of War: Barricade Shield. Considering that the boss will rely on his combos to try and break your defenses and get you into striking range, while doing occasional jump attacks, it's no understatement that good positioning will be key. With that said, we advise those using melee builds to keep the boss in the center of the arena while making sure to stay at a comfortable distance, ideally one to one in half evading his normal range while using the gaps between hits to gain a chance to deal damage.
MAGIC AND FAR USERS
If you're playing with a ranged build, try to stay a little further away from the boss by using wolves to keep the enemy away from you as you deal sustained damage. As always, it's vital that you only attack when you feel safe, so don't rush into it and be sure to take advantage of every opportunity.
Regardless of which build you use, we recommend that you save a few flasks for the final third of the fight, as Leonine Misbegotten will become extremely aggressive in the final phase.
