Boss fights are now a staple of Fortnite. Gunnar is the boss of the Imaginary Order, which appeared on the map after update 19.20. He has powerful technology and a Mythic SMG on his back to take out any players who dare to get close.

So why risk fighting him? There is a point - a powerful mythical weapon can be yours if you defeat it, and there is also the possibility of obtaining the Secret Cave Keycard and entering the secret Vault...

Gunnara can be found as a boss in the Hidden Cave during Chapter 3: Season 1.

Where to find Gunnar in Fortnite Chapter 3

You can find Gunnar at hidden cave, a brand new Fortnite POI in the mountains north of the camp. The south entrance is heavily guarded, so try one of the secret side entrances instead.

How to beat Gunnar in Fortnite Chapter 3

Like any boss in Fortnite, defeating Gunnar will not be easy: he has a lot of health and some special attacks, including a powerful kick that propels him forward, so you will need to prepare.

We have some tips to help you beat Gunnar in Fortnite below:

• Fight Gunnar while in trio or squad, since eliminating it will be much easier (and faster) than doing it yourself.
• Stock up on weapons and healing itemsbefore entering A hidden cave, as you will quickly be surrounded by powerful enemies (as well as other players).
• Find a wall or structure behind which you can hide, attacking Gunnar. This is especially important if the fight gets overwhelming and you need cover to heal.
• Use assault rifles or sniper rifles to shoot Gunnar from afar, as being too close leaves you open to more damage from his physical attacks.
• When a blue aura appears around Gunnar's fist, quickly hide behind something when he is about to move forward with a killing blow.
• After you have defeated Gunnar, quickly grab his PP and Keycard, since other players will probably try to add it to their loadout.

Gunnar isn't the only enemy you need to worry about here. The Hidden Cave appears to be the new base of the Imaginary Order, so it is infested with NPC enemies who will come to Gunnar's aid if warned.

Considering this is a brand new location on the map, you'll also have to compete against a ton of other players looking to pull Gunnar for themselves. If you're struggling, wait a few days for things to calm down.

What does the Hidden Cave keycard do in Fortnite?

Once you defeat Gunnar, you will be able to obtain his Secret Cave Keycard, which is required to entrance to the secret cave vault. The location of the vault will be marked as soon as you collect the card key.

Inside the Vault, you will find many rare Vault Chests that contain high-level loot. This is the perfect chance for you and your squad to craft the perfect loadout to help you land another Victory Royale.

Remember that you can only use the keycard during the match you found it in, so don't waste your time trying to store it in your tent to carry it between matches - it just won't work.
