Rockstar Games is giving away free New Year's gifts to use in the new year in GTA Online. So, here's how you can get your hands on it.
While GTA V and the next installment of GTA Online have been around for over six years now, players still flock to Los Santos to wreak havoc on the online streets and accumulate cash through missions and rewards.
As the years go by Rockstar Games kept the game in line with real events by providing content based on the season or even the current holiday. With bourgeois Christmas behind them, players were looking at Los Santos filled with snow and having similar decorations around the map. However, with the arrival of the New Year and the beginning of the new decade, the store already has similar celebrations.
To celebrate the New Year, Los Santos' snow has been kept around - meaning you can drift your car and watch freezing snow blanket the city for a few more days.
There are also free rewards to get in the form of two costume skins: Yellow Reindeer Lights и Neon Festive Lights - as well as a pack that contains a firework launcher, twenty firework rounds and armor.
To get your hands on these free items, all you need to do is log in and play for a few minutes during the New Year. Costumes, however, will only be available under certain conditions. To get Yellow Lights, you must play on New Year's Eve. To receive the Neon Holiday Lights, your GTA Online session must be on New Year's Eve.
They may be the only free rewards you can get in GTA Online, but the highly sought-after charged version of the car will also be available until the end of January 1st. Dewbauchee JB 700W.
Once the holiday festivities are over, Rockstar will no doubt have some brand new updates so you can spend your hard-earned GTA Online cash.
