How to Get a Free League of Legends Token

Riot Games is giving players a free League of Legends Return Token in early 2020, and here's how to get it.

Refund Tokens give League of Legends players a little more control over their purchases. Instead of contacting Riot support if you make a mistake or just change your mind about an item, you can immediately get your money back with tokens (tokens).

However, to prevent abuse of the system, return tokens are limited to three per account. Theoretically, after these three tokens are used, players will have to go through the normal support system if they hope to receive a refund of their costs.

Luckily for those who choose to use some of their return tokens, Riot is offering another additional token for free in early 2020. To get it, all you have to do is go to the application page on the League of Legends support site and log into your account.

There is still a limit of three per account, so if you've never used a token, you won't be able to get a fourth. However, there is no indication that the 2020 token offer is time-limited, so if you end up using one this year, be aware that you can go back and replace it.

League of Legends is free to play, but that doesn't mean players have nothing to spend money on. While all champions can be eventually earned without losing real money, they can also be bought directly to speed up the process, and many longtime players will end up spending some money on skins and other cosmetics for their favorite champions.

For those unfamiliar with the refund system, it's worth noting that not all items are refundable. Certain purchases, including bundles, promotional items, and gifts, cannot be returned with tokens, so if you're not sure about a particular purchase and might want to return it, make sure you first check if it's the right option for you .
