Purchasing and equipping new shoes in NBA 2K23's MyCareer mode is pretty straightforward. Here is a guide outlining the necessary steps.
NBA 2K23 made many changes to the long-running MyCareer franchise mode. However, not all of these changes were well received by fans.
Firstly, players continue to express frustration with certain mandatory quests and activities such as highly disliked skateboarding mission.
Longtime fans were also outraged by the incredibly low payouts. VC for completing tasks. But one thing in particular hasn't changed much - the community's love of in-game shoe shopping.
On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, players only need to find their favorite shoe store in The City, with plenty to choose from: Adidas, Nike, Converse and Under Armor, for example.
- Once users find the shoe store of their choice, they can go inside and open the store menu. Clicking on the On Court tab shows the shoes that players can wear in MyCareer and PRO-AM.
- Meanwhile, the options on the Colorways tab apply to the colorways that a character can wear in PRO-AM, NBA, and Park games. (Whichever color the player purchases is the color that will be displayed in all of the above game modes.)
- After adding a pair of new boots to your cart, NBA 2K23 players will need to use the available VC to complete your purchase.
- When part of the shopping is done, leaving the store to equip freshly purchased slippers.
- Pressing the PlayStation/Xbox equivalent of the Start button marks the next step, followed by entering the MyPlayer tab and choosing Appearance.
- The Clothing menu will open automatically, allowing players to equip their new shoes for The City, PRO-AM/Rec Center, On Court, and Suits. Opening any of these tabs leads to another menu where equipping/removing shoes should be an easily accessible option.
Of course, some NBA 2K23 players may find it worth saving their venture capital to build their MyCareer stats. Regardless, looking good on your way to the NBA Finals will no doubt be a priority for others.
